YouTube unboxing: youtube.com/wat…jgM 3:26 shows difference in size between this and the Clip Jam.

Clip Sport player volume is too low (from the SanDisk website).
[kb.sandisk.com/app…low]
Due to EU regulations, the volume output of a portable audio device MUST be limited to 85dB.

WARNING: Avoid using headphones/earphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous loud and extended music play. Keep the volume at a moderate level, so that you are better able to hear outside sound and to be considerate of the people around you.

Follow the steps to increase the volume output of your player:

Clip Sport:
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > System Settings > Restore
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High

My previous deal and Tacavas' deal for extra comments:

I got mine yesterday. Really neat design and I like the physical buttons which means you don't have to look at it to change stuff. FM works really well too. Like a couple of posters in the comments above above, although a phone does this, this is a really neat solution. The headphones aren't great - heavy bud design means they don't sit easily in my ears. Replacement Sony headphones and the sound is really good.

Started mine after sitting in a drawer for a hear, and still had about 50% battery life, crazy good little device
needs bluetooth

needs bluetooth

There is a plus version with it. More expensive though
My 2010 model still going strong, still with 8 hours battery life. Tempting to upgrade, but on a mission to see how long the original can last.

What's the battery like for continuous playing? My current mp3 only last 4-5 hours listening to music non stop.

Well, yer know what they say czech...if it aint broke, don't fix it then, come the time your's DOES show signs it's about to kick the bucket, you'll probably get a better cheaper replacement, thanks to HUKD.
I've got a couple of Samsung S3's floating around, could I use 1 (Fame GT-S6810p, it's sluggish after (and b4) factory reset) solely as a music player? SIZE is good, it has bluetooth, and battery lasts, but I don't know fer sure that I could listen uninterrupted without wifi, or is it a simple case of downloading the tracks, if so how many tracks could be downloaded on a basic phone can anybody say?
Cheers all

If the S3 takes an MicroSD card, then likely many thousands, depending on the size of the card it supports. It's Wifi, screen, bluetooth all eat power, and the S3 might not have good battery now and would likely cost more than this MP3 player to replace.

This player says it's limited to a 32GB SDHC, but I've got a 64GB in working. It is a pretty basic menu structure, too, but how many thousands of songs does anyone need - you could easily put your top 50 - 100 albums on it and it would likely not get too boring?

I read 2000 on the internal and 2000 on the external

Either way thanks op ordered the other day - I do have a streaming service - but theres something about owning your own stuff rather than paying to stream it.
For anyone who bought one, the FM radio is pretty good too. You can autoscan the channels and then cycle between them quickly by pressing the middle button on the player. Very cool if you can't concentrate too long on one statoin.
Brilliant little player
How do you get songs on it? Do you have to use a laptop?
I got the non sport model and the sound quality and battery are good
Gave one model from 2009 to my kids and they love it ! HOT
is a 32gb card the largest it will take?

Battery life is up to 25hrs, that depends on the bitrate of the audio file and the volume used. I have had one of these for a few years, i reckon i probably get 15hrs or so played audio files of different types and bitrates. It is a nice player. The only minor downside is that it can be difficult to see the text in the sun.

Looking on the firmware update page (link above in description) and from mpfree's comments above, it states: Maximum database size supported is now 2000 objects for internal memory and 2000 objects for external memory [SD Card]. Hope that helps.

No and you wouldn't want too. The screen is really not up to it.
Anyone know if you can get a Mini Portable Internet radio player?

I had a lime green one from years ago on here and it was great, broken now and can't find any portable internet radio players anywhere.
2019
Sands clips used to be great with rockbox on it, unstoppable for the money. Later models weren't supported sadly.
These were the dogs in the day before streaming, mine still going strong and ok for long flights ;o)
Thanks for posting @obwan2014 we have added this to the Highlights pages

Easiest way would be with a PC of some description but you could also use any device that has access to music, can read/write to a MicroSD card and has a file manager.
