Not the best flash drive but you cant complain for the price!

cool

I have this exact drive, and I'd warn anyone against getting it.
It's the slowest drive I've ever come across by a long long way.

Verging on useless, unless you plan your transferring hours in advance.

I think that's exaggerating just a little. I've got one of these myself. Read speed is actually excellent (around 25MB/s) write speed is only around 3MB/s, which is not that bad. Heat added.

Yes it is.

That write speed is terrible. As fresno bob says, plan in advance if you plan on moving files of any sort of size onto this ..... it'll take ages. (As in ..... hours once you get into 1gb+ files.)

Cheap but very slow.

Heat cos it's cheap but I wouldn't buy one myself.

Agree 100%.

I brought the 8GB version the other day. I have to agree, this drive is really slow. The upside is that its tiny, so fits nice on your keys. But don't recommend this as a day-to-day working drive

I have 2, and just bought another 2. I like them aesthetically and they make good LiveUSBs, I work in tech support and I make use of them in recovery all the time.

Not fast, but they are small and rugged

Crap write speeds. But ideal if you're using for permanent storage/backup where only read speed is important.

I seem to be very much in the minority here, but I'm perfectly happy with mine. I completely agree that the write speed can in no way be described as fast, but a 1 GB file at 3 MB/s will take 5.5 minutes to write, not 'hours'.

Apologies. Meant to write 10+gb worth of files. My mistake.

For me, the bigger the drive, the better the write speed needs to be. Although, as a couple of others have mentioned, these are fine for write once/seldom, read many type use.

I tend to use mine to bung a lot of data on and off quite frequently so really need faster write speed than this.

Thanks, just ordered as a xmas present.
