dont even need a big mem stick but tempting at this price....

Just bought a 4 gigger for 18 p less than this a week or 3 ago...

Sick as a parrot!

Great price

Apparently it's ready boost enabled too, which has gotta be good for those running Fister.

Hot

Good price just bought one of these from PC world a few weeks a go. You can price match this at PC world and get 10 % knocked off so you could get for about £12.50 ish. Still hot tho

Scandisk Flash drive is nice but i would recommend the PNY flash with the flip and extra protection, good design.
I know its more like 16.99 but think in the long run will last longer..

play.com/PC/…tml

Got this for £13.99 myself not long ago off Amazon. Apparently its very fast so should make shifting all them disc images to my driveless Advent 4211 a breeze.

PC World only give you 110% of the difference. So if its £1.00 cheaper at Play.com, they would match the price and give you an extra 10p.

I can't find any information to back this up. Anyone know for sure that the 8GB version supports readyboost and/or knows it's read/write speeds?

Cheers

Many apologies to everyone,I can't find the exact link I looked at earlier, and now this seems like one of the best, info & review-wise:

sitehq.co.uk/2-1…tml

It seems only the U3 enabled version is officially readyboost enabled for some strange reason.

Hmm, after looking at a review on play.com, the reviewer says this drive is faster than a 4gb cruzer u3 drive, which itself, is readyboost compatible. So I'm guessing this should be if it's faster.

Super hot, i remember eanting to get one, i can't remember why now

Thanks edi.

Bought one for the wife.

For this price you're better off buying some more RAM.

Is that a poor attempt at humour? Never seen anyone carrying RAM around with their files on :w00t:

This person was talking about using it for readyboost....... your post was a poor attempt at intelligence I assume?

Play offer music downloads now via their site so most internet blocking software now categories Play as a music download site and blocks access.

Yes it is ready boost ready, even though when I select the option it says its not fast enough. Don't know how fast it is but it is faster than my other smaller drives. The only down side for me is the drive end (key loop bit) flashes bright orange even when not in use, so cant leave it plugged in all the time as it annoys me too much.

oh my god thats amazing! why have i never known about this? im gonna try it with my laptop - does this mean as its already got 2gb ram it will have 6gb? Should be stupidly fast!

Well before you buy for this reason you may want to think about. 1) As you already have 2GB of ram it probably wont use it. 2) If you have vista 32bit then it only sees 3.5gb anyway. 3) 2+8=10!:-D

If you're interested in the U3 version of this, its only an extra £1 at £14.99 (]See Here). This has the retractable USB connector as mentioned with the PNY. It doesn't mention ReadyBoost, however one reviewer does state it comes up saying "speed boost enabled" under Vista.

Its now only £13.79 at Amazon.

i got a 2 gig version of this - brilliant have to say.... very tempted for a bigger one at this price.... mmmmmm

Just to confirm this one is readyboost, byut bit slow, right?

Sorry to sound thick but what's the advantage of U3?
