Bought this last week from this seller
Put it in my GoPro and started to smell burning , got it out before any damage was done , it was stupidly hot , burnt me fingers !
Either a faulty card or fake . It’s getting picked up tomorrow for a refund .
Loads of reviews say this could be fake , but I bought as there was loads of great reviews .
I was very lucky I always monitor the cards the first few minutes I put a new card in or my GoPro hero 7 black would of been destroyed and not a chance that company would replace it .

I highly doubt amazon would be selling counterfeit products..

I said quite a few reviews say this , also I have first hand experience with this seller and this card .
And I was lucky my £300 Gopro didn't get destroyed , it might of just been a faulty card .
But lucky I do check as if I didn't I would splashing another £300 out on a Gropro.
PS amazon have loads of fakes , its just very hard to prove . They have taken many perfumes, memory cards , even golf balls off the site due to poor reviews stating they are fakes .

It’s not the same card

Whats the difference?

The San Disk ultra cards cant process 4k videos recorded from Go Pros, Drones etc as it lags and jumps. The extreme card is capable of processing 4k etc 👌🏼
I picked up one last week. Working no problems at all - appears 100% genuine to me

This card is U3 with a min data transfer of 30MB/s (suitable for 4k), yours is a U1 @ 10MB/s (suitable for hd).
I buy these for my drones, recommend grabbing a couple - for the influx of new Mavic Mini users

I'm afraid Amazon is awash with fake products. So much so you really need to be aware. The third party market place is especially susceptible. The reviews are also questionable as people are getting free gifts for 5-star reviews. I have been offered them myself. I used to use amazon for all my purchases, but have for the first time in 10 years cancelled my prime account and am purchasing locally and elsewhere. The Chinese products are particularly dodgy from jewellery that causes rashes to fake chargers that melt like the memory card mentioned. You can actually use opensource software to test your memory cards and usbs to check the memory specified is what you actually get.

Could the GoPro be fake? Ive heard stories of fakes doing similair things to chargers and memory cards (something allong the lines of it puts too much voltage on the memory card pins IIRC). Some dodgy Cheap chinese dash cams have also been reported to do the same.
