Take a look here:
mymemory.co.uk/Mem…ers

Whilst not cheap, I can thoroughly recommend this one:
mymemory.co.uk/mem…der

reads SD, CompactFlash, MemoryStickProDuo etc etc ... pretty much all formats covered and great speed. 10/10 from me.

Now available from Amazon for £16.73.

On Amazon it's from a marketplace seller who charges 4.50 shipping (when I checked last night) - why is this cold, this is the best price I've seen for this card when you bear in mind P&P is free?

I spent all night looking for a good price on this card as mymemory were out of stock, never thought of checking play though! Kicking myself now, I went for a Kingston Ultimate instead...oh well.

Careful with ebayers and amazon marketplace sellers who are selling fakes. You know that you have a fake if on the back of the card the isnt a serial number. There should be a 8 digit/letters used to register the memory card with sandisk. The fakes look almost identical.

Bargin price BTW, Great find doublecuffs, voted HOT!!

I ordered one a couple of days ago, didn't realise it hadn't been posted. Doh! Seems to be one of the best SD cards you can buy at a bargain price, well worth it even if your camera/device can't write to it very fast, copy a full 2GB back on to your computer will certainly be faster.

That's not always a good guide. The quality of the printing and the lack of rounded metal corners are what I usually look for. But yeah there are soooo many fakes on ebay etc that the average punter is none the wiser and think they're getting a bargain!

cheers, while the rrp is way off the mark, this IS a bargain price for this card delivered. voted hot

great spot - bagged one.

cheers.

It's pretty bad, I just avoid Amazon Marketplace and ebay completely for memory cards now rather than risk the hassle of getting a fake.

I came across a site where they compared fake compact flash cards to the real thing. Have a quick look at the following link:

martybugs.net/art…cgi

As scrooge sez, the average person wont notice the difference.

Out of stock now, not going away for just over a month so hope this arrives before then.

back in stock now. get one while you can davelfc and enjoy your hols

Although they haven't emailed me, I checked my account online and they posted mine yesterday. Thanks

The price has reduced to £16.99 now. Just bought one as I couldn't find a 2GB card with such a fast transfer speed (min 20MB/s) anywhere else cheaper and the inclusion of RescuePro makes it a really good price.

can get this for 15.99 from play now if u pm me and i'll give u a £1 voucher

I'm sure someone will. Too late for me unfortunately as mine is in the post.

still got loads of vouchers to give away if u want 1 though

Just ordered one for my Tomtom one V2 its gonna fly now when calculating and writing routes....Ye ha.... :-D

I have a canon ixus 70 not sure if i should get the ultra or extreme version anyone any thoughts:thumbsup:

I bought this card about a week ago from Amazon marketplace. I had a £15 voucher so made it cheaper than Play. I hope its genuine! I wasn't aware of something being sold through Amazon as being fake. The packaging was very difficult to get into thats one thing I can say.

Its for my Canon IXUS50 and to be honest I haven't noticed a difference between this and my standard 512Mb Toshiba card.

This was £14.99 on play a couple weeks back. bought one the same time as that canon promotion. Thier prices are always yoyo-ing about

ive got the extreme version and its great, why get the lesser one when the best is only £16.99. in fact ive just ordered a second one to make sure i dont run out when on holiday next week.

btw i have an ixus 70 too..

didnt knew that there are so many fakes i was about to buy one!

I put mine in my Dell laptop with vista to use as a speedbost and it told me it was't fast enough My toshiba running vista loves it and it is really fast but sooo slow on the Del. It must be the Dell driver for their SD Ram slot, I can't really think of another reason.

If anyone is getting the message that your card is too slow and cannot be used for speedboost I know how you can get vista to accept it, however as it is probably too slow it won't acually help your system.

Whats worse is that apparently some fakes are 'perfect'... according to various sites some official manufacturers produce 'genuine' versions and then a whole load of unofficial copies for the local market. These may perform ok but there is no Sandisk warranty. Others are just cheapos...

Sandisk have high res pics of their cards so that you can compare your purchase against these..... problem is I think the pictures offered are out of date because they do not match ones on Play or Amazon. There is a thread about this on stevesdigicam forums (memory cards, card readers etc) but basically its not easy to check out how genuine your purchase is ! I registered my Play.com cards with Sandisk and hopefully everything is fine. Play.com confirmed they purchase direct from Sandisk....... but Sandisk would confirm nothing ! :?
