Hi, was on the lookout for some fast micro SD cards and found this one on Currys. Went with an actual store to get a genuine one because of all the fakes online.

According to the link below is one of the faster cards for read/write too:
https://havecamerawilltravel.com/photographer/fastest-microsd-cards

U3 means minimum read and write speeds of 30MB/s
This one supposedly tops out at around 90MB/s but will probably be a bit lower.

Hope this helps someone out.

Thanks for the heads up, will check it out next time. Only other one I could find that was comparable was the Samsung Pro but that was quite a bit more.

Heat from me.
Amazon UK currently is "1 new from £61.30 3 used from £41.98"
This will be a very high performance write as well as read card.
Cannot think why voting cold.

I recently purchased the GoPro hero 5 and need one, what's the difference between this one and amazon.co.uk/gp/…-21 what one would I be better of getting? Many thanks

go pro themselves say either is fine, depends how often you empty the card, the plus model transfers the data to a PC in double the speed. all depends how much you value your time

Extreme Plus will have a faster write which is your crucial factor.
You need the Speed when your go-pro camera is writing the video to the card as you record the video.
A few microseconds or even seconds when you're merely copying the recording somewhere you will not notice and does not matter.
Being able to write the data away as fast the camera wishes to deliver it?
That's important.

Do you think this card would be overkill for my S7 edge? I'm currently using a Sandisk Ultra 200GB in my phone but I'm thinking that I can use that for my Nintendo Switch which I should get at the end of the month. Thanks in advance. Also is this card any better? Sandisk Extreme Plus 64GB V30 U3 A1 It seems newer.

I think the Ultra is fine generally for everything except maybe if you are recording 4k video directly to the SD card. The link in the post shows the different read and write speeds and 4k video has a bitrate of about 50 Mbps which is about 8 MB/s and the Ultra in the tests did 23MB/s so should be fine but you might get occasional slow downs. Main difference you'll have is things will feel faster with the Plus.

I don't think there's much difference between the older and newer Plus, they have almost identical speeds.
