Probably because It was scratched up. stated in the description that the product had multiple scratches / marks.

There’s some Samsung T5’s available as new with 20% off, more expensive but has better thermal throttle (longer sustained speeds) than this Sandisk.

for the external storage, this drive is just not as fast as a "proper" SSD, for people just want to have cold backup there data, traditional HDD would works.
I bought the PNY Elite 960GB USB 3.1 of ebay brand new for £55, the speeds are very good and it's tiny.

That's really interesting! Are the 'random' read stats comparable?

Do you know anything about the data write reliability stats on these drives? Compared to this SanDisk or T5?

Edit:
Cheapest one on eBay is £95 and that includes the 5 percent voucher. What's the point of saying you got it for £55 if it's only on there for £95+

Can you provide a link or were you talking about a different model?

Sorry it was actually £57 delivered. The speeds are very good, very comparable to the Samsung T5.
