Good point, I have just bought the Sony A6000 and its messed up my 64gb HDXC card, It was formatted in my laptop first and when it was put in the camera it said to format the card which I did and now the A6000 dont even recognise the card and neither do two laptops so i put back into my panasonic camera which never had a problem with the card and even that didnt recognise it either, so all in all I am well fed up because the card cost me £40, anybody else had this problem and if so did it get resolved, any help would be great.

Does it have a locking switch on the side of the card?
Yes but i checked that and i downloaded SD card formatter and even that wont do a 100% format so the card appears to be useless at the moment, I had a read of a forum and apparently 64gb HDXC cards and sony A600 camera have had problems for a number of years and Sony promised a fix with an update to the camera but the problem still exist, I have now got a couple of 32gb cards and no problems with them but its just shame to be wasting a 64gb card which are not cheap.
where did you see about a6000 and 64gb cards? not seen that said or found it myself

Have a look here …Have a look here .http://community.sony.com/t5/Alpha-SLT-DSLR-Cameras/Formatting-64-gb-sdxc-class-10-in-a6000-fails-and-goes-back-to/td-p/351590

seems more people had problems with 32gb cards than 64gb ... and there are only a few folk there so doesnt seem that widespread
