Thats a great price, but unfortunately its hard to ensure items are real on ebay. Are 4 gigs of memories worth only £20 to people these days? When a fake stick fails (which it is likely to), then you'll lose a hellava lot!

I agree, but mine was delivered today in it's packaging so I am happy....Put it in my PSP and is showing 4 gigs....

Memorybits doing this for £37.87 delivered. Using Google Checkout gives £10.00 off so delivered price £27.87:whistling:
(not flashy red but blue will do me)

The red 1 is also available at £39.11 with £10 off so £29.11.

Like what qpan said, say you're on holiday, taken 4gigs worth of snaps, find out when you get home they're all corrupt ;-)

It might be working fine right now, but how about a week/months time? You get what you pay for....

Fake Gucci bag for the missus aswell? :whistling:

Not everything is fake. Face it your deal is not so good....Ha Ha...

Yep - your deal is crap - voted cold

If you do your homework, you'd know where to look on Ebay for non fake goods................

Do we need to have the same argument everytime a memory card deal gets posted?

This is an excellent price for a 100% genuine pro duo card

The same card cost £60 from Play.com at Xmas. Now £20 less. Bargain

Thanks alot. In the spirit of things, why don't you enlighten us all and post some ebay links to genuine 4gb sandisk pro duo gaming cards? even non gaming cards will suffice

I ordered a 2GB ones off ebay about a year and a half ago, still going strong with no problems, don't see what the poster has against ebay!

You were one of the lucky ones then! Have you made comparisons between yours and a verified genuine one for transfer speeds? Probably not!

Nothing against ebay overall, but its pretty obvious they're doing nothing to stop these pro duo fakes from being sold.

Play.com have the 2GB for £17.99 (buy 2 and half your risk of data loss in case one fails). Amazon have 4GB for £37.99 inc postage.
With Sandisk the colour doesn't matter - I've got both versions with no difference.

Some other Sony Ericsson phones that use pro duo are K750i W810i & W850i but I think they only support up to 2GB pro duo - unless anyone knows better?

Be careful if using e-bay or you can end up with a fake. Stick with someone reputable with low postage costs and good after sales service and based in the UK.

anyone care to post a ebay seller with genuine cheap stock of these, please
Would only be for mp3s in a SEphone anyways, so if it got corrupted, wouldnt matter that much.
toad.

Good for your camera or mobile phone but i tried a 4Gb sandisk on my PSP and all the big games (1gb upwards) slowed down and music juttered and films stuttered. Id go for The official 4gb Sony mem sticks.

Great first post.

Check out Memorybits.co.uk. Then go to Mobile Phone Memory on left side of page. This lists all phones and memory compatibility. Oh and remember Google checkout gives £10 off any order over £30!

The stuttering is a classic sign of the card being fake.

I have 4 sandisk 4GB cards and they are all great. They actually outperform the Sony cards in benchmark tests.

You sure its real? Sony, 4gb, £20 you say. Surely if a bloke on ebay could sell it so cheap, so could some shops who order in vastly bigger bulk quantities?

Care to tell us the name of the seller? Would be happy to get a stick if its real!

Interesting prices, thanks:thumbsup:

There isn't any. All the ones on eBay are fake. People who sell genuine cards would be selling at a loss if they put them on there.

Well mine is a good fake is it came in a sealed box with instructions etc...

They all come like that nowadays - counterfeit memory cards are rife and its quite hard to distinuish genuine from fake. For guides on spotting the difference, google is your friend.

Regarding all the previous posts, The deal is good given that its play.com - can't get much more reputable e-retailer than that, apart from amazon. memorybits.co.uk and the others mentioned, well - they could sell genuine sticks but for absolute assurance, go with play or amazon (amazon direct - not the marketplace sellers!).
