I'm not sure if the trusty 8gb sandisk sansa clip mp3 player has descended below £30 before?

Either way, here it is for £29.99. Usually gets good reviews.

Amazing Price for a great MP3 player with 8GB storage. At £29 it is a steal. A nice little MP3 player that easily clips to your clothing and is easy to use.
Great price but poor support from play, hope Amazon price match
I have the 4GB model and it's great (20GB storage using a micro SD card). Just don't update to the latest EU firmware or you won't be able to turn off the volume limiter apparently (ie it will be really quiet).
missus has one of these for the gym, it's tiny and clip works great for that
hot from me - nice fine op, have some heat
I love my Sansa Clip+. This is a great deal.
HOT !!
Best price i've seen for an ace product.
The 4GB one went for £20 on the Amazon Black Friday Lightning deals and sold out in seconds
HOT!!
I thought it was cheap when I bought it for £40 last year. Great bit of kit and works well with the x-mini speaker
Great reviews. Bought one for my son. Thanks OP.
Brilliant deal. Love my sansa clip +
Mine has started to freeze when pressing parts of the front (I think it may be moving the SD card) and requires turning off and on to unfreeze. But I'm not sure if this is a problem with my unit or a problem with the product in general.
got 2, sound quality is better than an iPod (choose EU zone)
Seriously tempted by this, i've been after an mp3 player with expandable memory. My only query would be battery life, i've heard some say that with larger files it is often sub 10 hrs, can anyone confirm?

My dad had a similar problem with a different brand of mp3 player. He took it apart to work out what was causing the problem, and discovered that the battery had expanded and was causing some of the buttons to be permanently pressed. He then thought it would be a good idea to make the lithium battery smaller by peeling off the outer layers. It caught fire while he was trying to do this. Not the most sensible thing to try, with hindsight.

I hardly ever charge mine, i couldnt give an exact amount of play time but its certainly a lot more than 10 hours!
I get 6-7 hrs from mine. Mostly running oggs from the memory card (both of these factors drain the battery faster). Should get more time if running mp3s and/or from the internal memory.
fantastic little beastie, best ever price i've seen too.
Will this work with 32Gb micro SD cards?
Just pray nothing ever goes wrong with it like it having a weak clip, loose headphone socket or repeatedly formatting the internal memory. The tech support is bad, you have to send it back to the Czech Republic and if something goes wrong more than once, then it's classed as your own negligence and you're stuck with it.

I've got the previous model, and had it for over 4 years. Battery life is pretty damn good, I would say probably 10 hours right now, but alot more when it was new.

I so want to get one of these but my old version one just won't break!! accidentally poured water all over it for about 30 seconds while running (I know idiot) had to turn it off, and turned it on again after 5 mins and it worked fine / :).

1 thing that has never happened to me is the MP3 disconnecting from the headphones, without me pulling it out. I go running and if the clip falls, it will just tug my ears and dangle, so I usually just swing it back up while running. I do this on bridges lol, only just realised the slight idiocy of doing that, but hey, I'm confident it won't unplug.

My clip is slightly damaged, just aesthetically.

£30.. bargain.... thinking about getting one now as a back up, but might as well wait a year for prices to drop more lol.

If you select Worldwide instead of Europe it doesn't apply the db limiter.
Had one of these last year from currys for £34. When was this ever £79 though?

Great little mp3 player and good radio too, plus can put a 16gb micro SD card in too.

Mine ended up going through the washing machine. Ordered a new one now as best price I've seen and not been available anywhere for ages.

Heat.
Bought a 2gb refurb from ebay last year for use when out jogging.

Best 11 quid I'll ever spend. Such sound quality.
Nice price Beats the Amazon price by a couple of quid.

I like the way that the EU seem to arrogantly think that we are all that stupid that unless they limit the sound, we will all have it on max and deafen ourselves.

I'm waiting for the day someone posts the "Get Out of Europe Free" card on HUKD. That deal will go through the roof....
Got one of these last time they were cheap on Play.com. Really pleased with it.

Sorry if this is a divvy question, but I have purchased one and love it, but did think it was a bit quiet, do you know if it is easy to upgrade the firmware??
This is a smokin' deal. You will not believe what these little things put out.
Sweet, HOT! Ordered one for my Mum to replace her even older original Sansa that is on its last legs but still works fine.

reviews about the battery life put me off too. sounds like it starts off not as good (as my sony), and then gets worse

I bought one off eBay, I believe it's approx 2 years old. On the default software I can only get 7-8 hours. If I install Rockbox though, it's more like 11 hours:

Solid
It has a quite old expensive high quality sound chip in it.
Sandisk no doubt realise that if they ever change it sales will plummet.

Even the new ZIP uses that same chip that makes the sound quality surpass all budget mp3 players.

If you're after a quality mp3 player on the cheap, you'd be insane not to buy this!!

You have to wait long to get it that cheap, or just very lucky?
Can you create playlists on the mp3 player ? Also is everyone 100% sure it comes without sound cap ? My sony sucks as it's so quiet ! (Have a spare 16gb mSD since my OSF screen broke and it seems impossible to source another)

Thanks
