Dont think I've ever seen anyone offer the clip Jam at nearly £40. Its £25 max all day long. Dont know what happened with Sandisk as they hit the perfect MP3 player with the clip+. They then went on to make a whole load of other clips with no improvements and the loss of gapless playback. Nobody cared about the video screen they introduced. People would rather pay £50 second hand for the clip+ which can be rockboxed but, for me (being a prog fan) the gapless playback of the clip+ is essential.

I own 6 clip+ and one clip jam (because I thought it was gapless... wrong). If they started manufacturing the clip+ again I'd happily buy 6 more. Fantastic players but these (relatively) recent revisions are a huge step back. Still.. hot from me as the sound from Sandisk MP3 players is fantastic... Its just that they were so much better in the past. You can also put large Micro SD cards into these. I use mine with a 64GB but I've had 128GB in there before with no problem.

Oh and the reason I own 6 clip+? You can't get a better, more reasonably priced, (even at £40 second hand), better specced MP3 player that is so small. I have reserve stocks for when they wear out. (I'm still on the first one I had 6 or 7 years ago though)

£39.99.. lol what was that 20 years ago. Usually £25, to be fair these are decent little MP3 players

Yes old-school is always the best. Remember sticky toffee pudding and custard?
I got this the last time it was up on My Memory. Just Checked - mine has a screen twice this size - Put a 128gb sd micro in, started it up (after loading a LOT of audiobooks and MY music on it), and it plays fantastic

Agreed. And now SanDisk allow it to play BIG SD Micros's - my original one would only go to 32gb

Not much use if your music is in FLAC though.

Simply convert it to PCM.. bliss
guys, this is or the clip plus from mymemory?
I have had one of these for years, added a memory card so that I can have gym tracks one side and evening tracks the other, one of the best gifts my BH ever got me! Heat added!

Clip sport plus has more memory, slightly bigger battery and bluetooth, but also has a manky bigger screen and no SD card slot, so it depends what you value most.

I've just plumped for this one after my clip expired after 13 years, but wired headphones are important to me. YMMV.
If this was Bluetooth I would be tempted. :/ it’s not as out dated a concept as you can imagine. I only really listen to the same songs and I can no longer have them on my phone as my storage is low on my iPhone. (I take a lot of photos) I currently use Spotify but I begrudge paying them for my membership.

Not at this price point though.. Good sound (not quite as good as the clip plus for me) but it was gap less. Don't think it was expandable either. If we are ignoring price point then the classic is far superior to the nano.. But too big. As for the screen.. Too small and if I wanted something to watch vids on I wouldn't use an mp3 player. You don't have to convert audio for the clip so the 'convert it to mp3' isn't really a valid counter argument on range of formats played. I also prefer the button layout on the clip. You can operate it without looking at the screen.. Next track etc etc.
Does anyone know of a similar device to this that has Bluetooth ? Thank you

Clip plus allows BIG sd micro's. Not sure this does. (I have a 128gb in mine, and it plays wonderfully)

Victure Bluetooth MP3 player, get from Amazon for easy return, 8gb £19 or 16gb £25 & has sdcard slot. Change custom equalizer to all base ( li:. ) as with all tiny MP3 players. Got the 16gb on flash sale for £18 few weeks ago.

Was looking to buy another ancient clip+ & rockbox it's ROM on eBay the other week. A sealed one was up for £200. Too much, think bought mine for £20 years ago.

These little jams, not as good as + but are ok, battery lasts long & doesn't deteriorate with the years. Stick a huge card in it.

P.S. like the old clip +, the Victure has a microphone & records audio too.

I always get mine from CEX. There was a clip+ on there yesterday at £35 plus £1.99 p&p. I've never had any issues with battery life from them and all mine have been cosmetically fine. Two of them even came boxed with earphones. This was mid 2019. Might be worth considering for you.

Yeah I only had one, and it fell off whilst I was cycling then got run over multiple times, RIP never, i found anything quite as good as a rockboxed clip!
These are great little things for when you don’t want to take a bulky phone out with you
I absolutely do not need this but I'm tempted

I have nearly every version made of the sansa clips. The blue tooth one wasn't too bad.

no sd card on those tho, Sansa really needs to stop crippling these and add BT
I’ve been trying to buy an MP3 player for DECADES and couldn’t decide on one. This may be the time to bite the bullet.
8gb MP3 player.... really? In a world of smart devices this can’t really be worth that... can it?
