Had the 4gb (+4gb MicroSD) for Xmas and I love it. The battery life is incredible, I need to charge it about once every two weeks. I wouldn't recommend for video watching, screen doesn't have the best resolution and its very fussy over the media you put on (you have to use the Sansa media converter)

Make sure you get the latest firmware, it updates a few little niggly UI issues (speed browsing being the most important)

Standard Delivery with these guys is £3.99 on top of the price quoted so it's £50.98 before Quidco.

OOPS, just saw they have changed that to £1.99 for this so it's £48.98 before Quidco!

What Quidco do we get for this? I have a pre-order through Play and it was £47.50 after 5% code and £1 Quidco so £46.50. It looks like4% discount so another £1.75ish off?

 True...

What a swizz - I bought this at 9:54 this morning and the price was £49.99. It's come down by £3 since I bought it...darn!

take it you just pop in the 4gb card ( which comes with it ?) into the player.......And then just drag + drop 12 gb of tunes on then ?........or do you have to load up the 8gb , 1st....then the 4gb on the card after ? thanks...hot deal.....about the same as on play..

really mine needs a charge after a few hours of constant play.

Ordered a Buffalo hard drive from this lot the other day & they told me it was out of stock. I cancelled the order & they still sent me the hard drive (despite them telling me it was out of stock). So now I have to mess about returning it. Not very good in my opinion so I am staying well clear of them. Anyone else had similar problems ??

I got a tomtom off them with no probs, using the pay over 3 months interest free thing too

It all went well, and the cashback arrived in my account & quidco tracked OK too.

luckily I didn't have to test out thier returns procedure.

On the sbject of the sandisk players I have a 16GB sansa view which is very good the sandisk forums are good too for info on firmware upgrades etc.

why did,nt you just keep it ?......or had you gone and brought another one ?.....just a thought.

Bold statement from them, I think they should reword that to ''might' as opposed to will.

Since we have been waiting for something for over a month now

Yep thats it, throw it at the 8gb internal or the 4gb microSD, the fuze integrates it all together in its library, so it doesn't matter where you put it/how you split it. It organizes it via tags, not folders.

Great player, does everything my zen couldn't as well as sound better. My battery lasts between 24-28 hours on average and thats also using files from the microsd.

I agree about the video, not for wathcing movies on, but for audio its great. especially audible and long audio files, as everything you put in the podcast/audiobooks folders has a resume function. Each file will ask you if you would like to resume when you go back to it. Also means random play just plays music and not your audio books/podcasts. you can also speed up/slow down the audiobooks play speed. Great deal

That happened to me with the Acer laptop I ordered, I cancelled it and it came the next day, I didn't even pay for the next day delivery. I received an email asking for a security check, I didn't answer the security questions as it says that without answering the questions then the laptop will not be despatched. Well they despatched it anyway and they won't take it back just because it has been taken out of the box.

There's something wrong with that there fuze!! Can you return it??

Yeah the quoted battery life for audio is 24 hours or something, it shouldn't need charging after a few hours (unless you have volume maxed and the screen backlight is permanently on)

Play.com has a 12GB Fuze for £49.99 which I _BELIEVE_ is 12GB INTERNAL (not 8GB + 4GB)

play.com/Ele…tml

Still a very good price either way. I paid £50 for a 4GB late last year

I posted this deal earlier today (deleted by admin) without realising it was posted previously on here:

Not original posters fault, as the search function on here is pathetic, and throws up random or unrelated results most of the time.

Continuing on the the play.com deal this is still very tempting
May have to whip out the card later to buy.

Hmmm this is extremely temtping, although which one would you guys choose the 8Gb Clip on amazon or the 12Gb fuze? I heard the fuze is more scratch prone than the clip anyone confirm this please?

When they told me the item was out of stock they said I could have a similar item which might cost more or less and if less then I would have credit on my account - what use is that when I ain't gonna order anything off them again.

Please note that the 12G Fuze is an 8GB player with a 4GB card, I bought an 8GB card to go wih mine. I've not got experience of the Clip, but you can find reviews of both players at www.anythingbutipod.com that shouldgive you a good idea of the pros and cons of both. I love my 8GB Fuze, drag nd drop to add/move files, great sound and excellent battery life!

check out the sandisk forums there are other reports of random battery times on there, apparently some earlier firmware editions somehow ended up with battery lives of less than 5hrs audio! A firmware upgrade should sort this.

I've not seen this personally but then I upgraded ours as soon as I got it.

I have the Fuze, but it is dodgy for getting video files onto it - won't accept bbc iplayer stuff. Also sound quality is nowhere near as good as a sony MP3/4 - have both.

To the poster enquiring about scratching, the fuze is fine - feels better than the clip even if it is bigger and is nicer to navigate. I would get the fuze over the clip any day - my wife has the clip - unless you are only going to use it for listening while running in which case the tiny clip is handy. For the record most of the time I set the album I wont to listen to and pop the fuze back into the thin black velvet-like case/cover that came with the player, keeping it in tip top condition - (the sony is actually my son's, so the fuze is my main player, although for sheer enjoyment and video quality and compatibility the sony is far far superior).

Just my tuppence.

Just my tuppence

Just ordered for my girlfriend's birthday. Thanks OP!

Voted hot, just ordered one from Play.com for £49.99, can't wait
