got my samsung evo for 80£ about 6 months ago,
prices gone up and down, don't really feel there a good deal anymore, its just there price

Pretty sure this is £74.99 on Amazon. You'd be better off waiting for black Friday for SSD deal's

paid exactly that price for the ultra version at double the capacity a while back in a prime deal. The sooner all things memory return to normal prices the better.

It's £74.99 on Amazon.

Eagerly awaiting the 120GB version to hit £30 once again.

Might be waiting for awhile...

This is also £69.59 (free p&p) on Ebay, although the item's location is Hong Kong.

Can't believe these were £40 last year black Friday. Brexit and £ rate just an excuse.
Still holding off until they drop back down to £40 again.

However if you desperately need one then SSD is the best upgrade you can make to a PC/laptop.

This isn't necessarily the fastest or best SSD but still a huge performance boost over a HDD.

I'm sure but I can wait.
I have an SSD in each system but would like to side grade one of them to a better make. These SanDisk drives are excellent.

You've to wait longer, they predict 2018 will be the same as 2017.

They'll say the same thing next year.
'Ooo demand is too high for us to keep up'
'Apple are buying all the NAND for their upcoming iPhones'
'One of our plants has sustained damage and has had to halt production'.

Just like the energy companies jacking up prices year on year regardless of oil prices.

Basically they're all a bunch of excuse makers.

I'm sick of it.

Single level cell I will pass at that.

You get the new Assassins Creed with Samsung Evo SSDs at the minute. If you're after the game, it's basically like getting a Samsung Evo SSD with £45ish off.

Great deal if you're after an SSD and wouldn't mind the game, too - hotukdeals.com/dea…316

Yes it's disgusting

They have gone down in price if you compare to about 5yrs ago.
My Samsung drive cost me £140 for 256GB.

Totally agree with how we are getting shafted.
Pure greed, the more money they have, the meaner they get.

A lot of the memory prices goes into investment to build new plants to make even more money.

While it's annoying and I'm sure there's profiteering going on, on top of the weak pound, 2d and 3d memory shortages, production costs, cats being sick and Brexit - the fact is the memory prices have always fluctuated and 50% increases are nothing new, it's just that we all got very spoilt with stupidly low priced SSD drives a year or so back.

While it's annoying, memory is just a commodity like wheat, gas, electric, gold and so on and will forever have those that take advantage of the consumer, aka mugs.

Basically this sort of thing is nothing new.

I bought my 120GB Imi (something) for £24.99. Used to be a daily ssd deal in those days. Still using it today.

bought mine for £40 2 years ago.

Also paid £40 last year. Its been a great drive so far, very fast and totally reliable which is exactly what I would expect from a reputable manufacturer like sandisk.
