What I find hilarious is the 64GB version of this is only 45p cheaper than the 128GB at Amazon... oO

Anyone recommend a program to clone my drive onto this when it arrives?

Considering the 128GB Sandisk one went super hot the other week, and it wasn't Plus, what's going on here? It was £50 too, this is only £42. Seems odd?

Your looking at second hand as they don't make them that small now even if you find a new drive thats that big then its generally only a few £ cheaper then a 120gb

yea you are right

CEX sells a second hand 40gb for about £40 pound so thats stupid when i can get a 128 new one for that much
i was thinking if i can get it for about £20 i would go for it
i might aswell get something bigger

i have this drive running windows 7, no problems and quick.

First time I did this I used dd from a live ubuntu usb key.
Just did it again today and used Western Digital version of True Image (Win 7).
No problems with either but True Image has a gui and dd is command line. Remember - after you have cloned - to double check that Windows has recognised the SSD as a SSD and that TRIM is enabled.

You can still get the Intel 320. £30 at ebuyer at the moment but is sometimes available for £20 from there or Amazon in the past I think? Not great value compared to the 120gb drives today, but cheaper!
I finally (today!) got around to shrinking my drive down and copying it over to my 320 today. Its not up to todays specs but lightning fast compared to the WD Green drive I was booting from! No more waiting for windows to boot or for chrome to open!

EDIT: A quick Google revealed that somebody called Casetac has 5 Intel 320's for £19.56 each and Super Saver delivery appears to be £2.39. I know nothing about the company (casetac.com/ind…php?route=product/product&product_id=149254&currency=GBP&language=en).

Nice drop heat added!

finally ssds are coming down where they belong...price wise...

Will it work with UH572 Ultrabook?

Whats the difference between a laptop SSD and Desktop SSD is it just physical size?

No, this was posted days before, it's only just gone hot now. Silly HUKDers.

I know these are considered good/fast drives but how do they compare to newer drives like the Samsung 840 EVO? Are there any improvements in the newer drives that make them a better buy? Thanks.
