For those who don't want to mess with Amazon US, slighty different Sandisk card is £30 from Picstop

@nickywilson even at that price, it's £10 cheaper than on U.K. store. Been holding out for one for my Switch.

Suitable for 4k dashcam ?

Will my credit card be charged for $ transition?

Suitable for 4k dashcam ?

Probably is, given that a dash has a small sensor.

Still for 4k, a UHS-I Class 3 (U3) (30mb/s) on card is advisable.See the difference here:
U1 vs U3 card

you want high endurance micro sd for dash. either lexar high endurance, transcend high endurance or sandisk (white card) DO NOT BUY RED/GREY SANDISK FOR DASHCAM

Bought - Coming up at £30.78 using Mastercard fee free credit card. Mastercard conversion almost always better than Visa. Make sure you use a credit card that has no fees for using abroad and select to pay in USD.

Bit cheeky since they were £25 last Black Friday and it's been a year. Prices used to halve (or capacity double for the same price) every 12-18months, shame it doesn't happen now.

Bargain!

for the uninitiated, make sure you are buying from seller Amazon.com (i.e SOLD BY AMAZON.COM) , not other sellers on Amazon (and they may appear as the default choice when Amazon is OOS or pricier)

This will tell you what you need to know about what card to choose..... sdcard.org/dev…ss/

Its all about the item you are putting the card into not the card itself to begin your search. Your item determines the level of card required. If you are only recording say HD footage then you have no need for a top end card, then also within the brackets of HD or even 4k its what size and fps you are recording makes difference too. 4k dashcam is not going to be recording sam level of data that a video camera is.

To note my Sony phone records 4k but it always records it to the MAIN phone memory not to an SD card, so I don't think it matters in this case for some phones how good your additional SD card is, it will default to phone memory to ensure perfect performance. You can move the 4k footage to SD later.
