SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC Memory Card £31.99 @ Amazon

Found 27th Nov
Amazon Cyber Monday deal of the day

Suitable for Nintendo switch (and others) due to write speed of up to 100MB/s

Cheapest this 128gb card has ever been

This does NOT have 100MB write speed, it's about 15MB at best. A 100MB write-speed card would be hundreds of pounds.

I was literally just going to post this. For some reason it tells me prime delivery is wed 29th :-/

To bad is not the card 400 gb

Is this considerably better than the one at Picstop? That would be £26.89 with cashback and the current Quidco £2.50 bonus. Is this one worth the extra £5? Planning on using it in a Raspberry Pi if that makes a difference

It's worth mentioning that the Nintendo Switch can not utilise the max speed of this particular card so the standard Sandisk Ultra is more than adequate if you can find it cheaper than this 🏽this card will work fine just don't expect it to load any faster!

Snap. Was waiting for this deal

Great deal, but it will not provide anywhere near 100MB/s write, more like 30MB/s seq write & 70-80 MB/s seq read.

I saw someone benchmark the 64gb versions, there was a good increase in both read/write, I think +20 read & +15 write.
I'd say it's worth the extra £5 but I don't know if it makes a difference in a Raspberry Pi.

I don't think the pi's interface will take advantage of the speeds and especially the use cases and other bottlenecks involved will mean a lesser card will do.equally well. However if you need this capacity and this is the cheapest card regardless of speed, then I suppose it shouldn't make a difference.

Wowaza! Excellent price! Hot!

good job i spotted this before shelling out £35 quid for the same size card at CEX ..

Amazon said they're experiencing too many orders due to Black Friday & hence delay in getting it delivered - Might get there by Tuesday anyway, they just don't wanna disappoint anyone I guess.

But isn't this against the prime terms as you pay for next day delivery. I will get in touch with customer service to Atleast get some free months of prime added to my account

Write speed on this card is 14MB/second NOT 100MB.

I'm on prime and ordered something on Friday which said it was coming today. It came next day on Saturday. I guess it's just a disclaimer that it may take a while.

Please explain why you are saying this? Mb versus MB?

Would this be any good for the kindle fire HD8 ? Thanks

Hmm... tempted, but I probably wont need it for a 6 months or a year (as my Switch has plenty of room, and I wont be buying any more digital games for a while). Worth buying or should I wait?

Also is it true the SanDisk have more problems compared to the Samsung EVO?

Would this be able to handle recording in QHD or UHD on the galaxy s8? All reference to the card just mentions FHD that I can find. Just wondered if you could or if thr video would stutter with the card struggling to keep up? Cheers

Original Poster

Really odd but link has indeed changed and is now directing to a mouse. Thank for highlighting. Have amended link. It is currently in moderation.

Just make sure its being sold by Amazon...I've had a few fake Sandisk MicroSDs from the Marketplace on Amazon before.

They can say that these are extraordinary circumstances, i.e. they're busy, delivery people busy etc? Not like that throughout the year though, just these few big shopping days...

Not saying this is bad deal or wanting to get back in my handy time machine, but has the price of SD card gone up in the last 6 months or so. Swear the last time I bought 128Gb card it wqas about £24.

Does anyone know why it has gone up. Is it like to come down in the future?

Not when they force these changes on users as part of a very planned management trick to not compensate . Remember the £3 credit for a no rush delivery every year.

I'm saying it because I just tested my one and it's 14.5 MB/s write speed on two different USB 3.0/2.0 card readers.

alikgriffin.com/bes…s8/

I don't know the exact write requirements of S8 but typically UHD requires an approx 30MB/s.
This card could according to link above reach up to 30MB/s but I wouldn't rely on it to shoot 4k, rather get a U3 card. QHD is probably fine.
I'm probably going to pickup an extreme plus after my S8 arrives.

Do you have a link to it on primenow for £32? Because when I go on the site, even when I click Cyber Week deals on PrimeNow, the card shows as £45.49? Thanks
