Troll?
Class A1 wasn't available 2 years ago.
And it certainly wasn't possible to get a 128gb for anything like £20.

It was £37 yesterday. It wasn't still worth with £10 code when available cheaper as mentioned above.

I got mine for 30 2 years ago on a lightning deal. They are at the limit of miniturization
Same as hd manufacturers why arnt 2tb as low as 40 I given up and got a 4tb for 90 with BIGTHANKS deal. Price fixing stinks when they are just a few making hd and these

What is the actual capacity of these? I need a couple for some 128GB RPi images but have found the evo cards to be the ones actually close to 128GB.

Actually you could get one for £24.99 over two years ago, going on three years ago but admittedly it did involve the use of an Argos £5 off voucher.

It's not price fixing, it's just supply and demand. Demand for nand has absolutely rocketed. Even advances in technology (3D nand) hasn't led to price decreases such is how high the demand is. Such is the case that don't expect to see significant price decreases for at least a year or two from now.

Interestingly a 512GB microsd card is due to be released in February.

No they aren't at the limit of miniaturisation. You can have conductors 1 atom wide, that is the limit.

You were able to get 64GB MicroSD cards for £9.99 once upon a time, Back in the golden Era

If i could have seen into the future back then, i'd have bought dozens of them instead of the 3 i bought.

As others have said prices are still very high, paid £25 for this from tesco in June 2016 (actually £12.50 worth of clubcard points)

Not unless you want the things to work. When you reduce things down to that scale, the laws of quantum physics present a problem.
