Indeed when i see 200gb ram I can't forget my 40 Mb hard drive that i worked for a full week in summer to afford. The second week was to upgrade the memorty from 1 Mb to 2.
Thats only 25 years ago.
People said about me mad when i replaced my 340Mb hard drive by a 1.2 Gb one (what are you going to fill it) was everyone's response
For the GoPro users, it’s okay for safely recording 1080 30fps. Don’t push it further or it’ll be more likely to corrupt files. For 4K 60fps recording you will need a U3 Standard or V30 Standard card.

The speed class ratings aren’t just for what resolution and frame rates you film at, it’s about the bitrates and the sizes of the files that need to be written to the card consistently without fail.

Nice card but wouldn’t recommend for action camera use.

"Up to 100 MB/s transfer speeds"

Yeah.... Nope.

Great if you need the space, but don't buy it expecting those speeds because you'll get nothing like that.
Good for the Nintendo Switch?

Nice. Good price @Brutes

You know nothing. Read up a little more on the speeds. 100MB is overkill for 4k Gopro level video recording even at high fps. Are you saying 10seconds of data will be 1 GB of data?

I used this same card on my note 9 and recorded 4k 60fps no issues at all.
Is this good for a GoPro hero 8?
Can anyone enlighten what means the "Up to 512 GB capacity??" it is a 200GB card, I guess.

It just meant Sandisk Ultra comes up to that much of capacity.

Recommendations are Extreme Ranges from Sandisk.

Thanks for telegraphing your ignorance on the subject. Perhaps you should read up and realise the theoretical 100MB/s speed on U1 cards is read and not write, not that it will ever actually achieve 100MB/s read outside lab conditions.

If you want fast writes in MicroSD, you need to look at U3 cards.
Good price, did get cheaper a few months ago

Yeah it's good for switch, I use it myself
I have a showdown. How long will this last? 200GB looks tempting
I paid £48 for my 200GB microSD when I picked up my Switch in late 2017. Great to see the prices come down so much, especially for people going digital only this gen.

Isn't it 100 megabits? Not megabytes? E.g. 100/8 = 12.5 megabytes p/s.

Or am I mistaken :-/

I think Mbps is how you've done it but not sure?
Anyone know if these are fast enough for gopro?

So this isn't a high performance sd suitable for dashcams?

For Dash cams, High Endurance card are recommended. It works but will have a shorter life than other High Endurcane cards.
Bought same sandisk 200gb in december 2017 for £50 and that was a hot deal back then, still in my note 9 working brilliantly .looking for 512gb now as it is nearly full.

No, the claim is Megabytes. Typically these cards will write at around 30MB/s and you'll be lucky to see more than 50MB/s read.

Going back to original post - I'm not knocking the value, just don't expect the stated speed and be mindful the stated speed refers to read (writes are always lower, often considerably so) - this is a common trick with sellers.

So, it might be fine for your use case. Check the specs of your hardware.
Still remember paying £100 for a 1gb sony psp memory card back in 2003

I bought 2x Samsung cards on ebay about 3 years. It failed with all its contents, photos etc... i contacted Samsung, i sent photos of the card with serial numbers etc. It turned out to be a fake card. I will never risk again buying on Ebay from a private seller. I'll go for a reputable seller. I paid £5 less, lost my data my card, and my time

Porn. I'm sure the answer was porn.
Why is it 200GB not 256?
Why does the description say it has up to 512GB capacity?
Write speed (minimum) 10 MB/s
No thank you!

Could be a 128gb chip paired with a 64gb chip

Could be they had a faulty batch of 256gb chips and are able to disable the part of the chip that is faulty

It says "up to 512gb" because the description is for the range of cards and is the same for all options from 16gb to 512gb cards

1-why not? they have 256GB too.
2-because the description is for all their range from 16 to 512.
