If your card is faulty, I can’t use the warranty. Silly question indeed
He means can he use the warranty as it was bought from Germany and will be claiming in England. So it's a reasonable question.

Not sure of the answer though. Usually stuff like this is sold under a 'European' warranty but there can be exceptions. Have a look at their website and it should say.

Edit : Ha ! Took me too long to click submit and it was already said. Note to self, must be faster.

That doesn't really answer my question, at least answer with something insightful.

I was asking as most warranty policies do not work outside of the country you are residing, so wanted to check if sandisk would honour the warranty as its coming from germany.

Yes speeds differ for each capacity. You can find all details on the link uf you scroll down a bit.

Really wish 400gb cards would come down in price. 128gb/200gb seems so small now, can't find decent priced usb sticks above 256gb anywhere, and it's fairly rare that 400gb sdcards drop in price.

Seems like 16gb-128gb usb stick are everywhere, and you can get 4tb portable hard drives for less than £100 but there's no middle ground anymore.

The prices have been falling dramatically - presumably due to supply/demand and (hopefully) forthcoming 800GB/1TB cards should arrive soon. The germany website is very interesting - deals keep coming up for 200/256/400 - keep an eye on it. I bought 256GB for 40 pounds or so a week back. Took 2d to arrive; works perfectly. Interestingly they have two models of 256GB from sandisk - one was much more expensive (and, presumably faster). If you compare the price in Germany with UK - they dont compete, but I think its either a matter of time, or waiting for "deal days" to hit UK. I would expect a lot of fluctuation over/after Xmas.
Brilliant price. Heat added.
Can anyone recommend a fee free card ? and do you have to pay for them initially?

The postage to German can't be much more than a euro anyway. But I guess the question is whether they'll send a new one out to a UK address.

Bro, what?

In the description it says about using a fee free card.

Is that meant to mean just a normal bank card that doesn't charge you a fee for euro purchases or is there a special type of card that you top up ?

Oh that's what you meant.

My bad.

A fee free card I would 100% recommend is the curve card. You use your existing cards and it charges you 0% foreign exchange fees. It's my daily go to card.

Here is a link to it.

You could get an extra £5 for signing up using a referral code but I'm not sure if that's allowed here?

I think it's a reasonable question to ask if you are not in the know and the product is stated as being sold from another country.

What i think is silly is that you find it funny and are slating someone for simply asking a question.

Bearing in mind its tiny size, how many read/writes will it be able to handle?
It's all fine and well expanding the capacity, but if you need a new card every year these things are going to have to be very inexpensive to get people adopting them.

A couple of useful videos on YouTube explaining SLC vs MLC vs TLC and whatever other progress there's been in condensing SS storage leads to lesser longevity. Admitedly this is for SSD's but Micro SD's are based on the same principles.

It can mean either.

And it can also mean both at the same time.

As a LOT of Bank's charge you a fee for International currency conversion on your card, but only a small handful do not.

And certain 'third-parties' out there (that aren't necessarily directly affiliated with your Bank), don't also.

That's pretty much it really?. :-)

that entirely depends on how we leave the EU.
if there is a withdrawal deal, then yes, probably, if no deal, then probably not.
though if there is no deal, a lack of sd card warranty will be the least of your problems!!
