Good price but im sure you can find the Samsung alternative for around the same price.
Just finished reading toms hardware review. These drives perform better than 850 evo.

At which point you'll be saying the same about 20TB drives
In before the idiots arrive and say something about it being a large amount of data in one place to lose etc...

5 times faster for video files, music, video editing, backups, archive files. Only faster for games or applications where lots of small files are being read.

True as i found out last week Old sata took ages to boot up with an SSD IT takes secs and over improvement in general performance too
Anyone spotted any great deals for lower capacity SSDs? Around the 250GB mark?

Haven't seen many deals on here lately for that sort of size.

I gotta say, I just read the review and although it is a good drive, competitive...

There is no way on earth you could get that from the Tom's Hardware review.

tomshardware.com/rev…tml

They *literally* say, word for word...

"The new drives are not quite as fast as the EVO, but they are very close. "

So, these have a good price and performance, so there is no need to stretch the truth.
This is hot? SSD prices have sure gone up, 2 years ago winter sales had 1TB at £149.99.

You should have seen the 750gb mx300 last year black friday for £106, I was one of the few who got that and I can say that was probablly the best 750gb ssd deal on the history of ssd's on this site.

So do we ignore all SSD deals until those old prices return? (Which they may not ever)

I'm sure many of us knew those ridiculously low priced SSD drive prices were not sustainable. £25 SSD drives were great but too cheap.
