They wouldn't be Apple if they didn't do that now would they? After charging essentially over £100 for the SSD as part of their machine, rather than giving people at least a 512GB SSD which the part would cost less than £60 for them, they instead include a 128GB SSD that cost £17 or less for them.

I used to respect them, charge the idiots that can’t do things by themselves and allow the rest do it by themselves. Then they got greedy and named it innovation and soldered everything to the board!

      Those ignorant haters...
Ssd in MacBooks are the fastest ssds in any laptops, with speeds up to 2.5 gb/s a about 5-6 times faster than a dell xps for example:
      macrumors.com/201…er/
But these ignorant haters won’t take the quality into account
iPhone thread: Cold. They don’t take microSD cards

      ??????
Who would have thought that we would have 400GB microSD cards. I still remember 256MB flash drives which were really expensive. Anyway, great deal, hot.
Note that this isn’t suitable if you’re wanting to use it in a Go Pro for higher resolutions like 4k... It’s only U1

Sure, cherry-pick and quote a high-end overpriced MacBook Pro that cost $2500 to make your case, when people are clearly referring the SSD in machine like the Macbook Air etc.

Also in case you don't know, people can literally pop open the base and install a NVME SSD that is just as fast and with even large capacity at fraction of the price of whatever price premium Apple is charging for their SSD as part of their cost for their machine.

Are you trying to move the goalposts? Sneaky ...
Let me remind you: argument was that Apple is still selling 128gb , and if you are to compare the last year air’s speed is still 2 gb/sec read and close to 1gb/s write, that’s again a few times higher than top laptops on the market:
      macworld.com/art…tml
Also, you can’t mod any slim laptop to get the same form factor and the same speed

Great deal considering I paid £48 for my 200GB microSD in December 2017. I wonder what capacity will be available for £50 in a couple of years.
Bought this a month ago (when it was £54). Really very very happy with it. I've plugged it into the SD card port of my laptop as easy external storage. The read/write speeds are superfast. Recommend it for sure.

It wasn't really his stuff. Thousands of the engineers who got never mentioned made apple. And they still work there and still doesn't get mentioned. They got told what to do. And they do it. Sorry for offtop.
Would this be reliable in practice? I've used big capacity mSDs before with Android and they have a tendency to corrupt once in a while (SanDisk; including one card directly from SanDisk themselves). Suddenly Android wants to format the whole card and for you to copy everything back on.

I don't think you're right. I've used the 200Gb and 256Gb version of this card in a Panasonic GX85 and it writes 4k video perfectly, no buffering or failure writing 30 min 4k files.

It was his stuff, he had the vision to lead, to choose what to sell and to go with the right design. I’m sure he was presented with at least 10000 other ones. He was a true visionary. Apple hasn’t had a good keynote and presentation since.

Me personally did not find his presentations outstanding or special. He liked to call Revolution on things what others had for years. At best it was catching up. Evolution of Apple, but not a Revolution in the industry. He had some good ideas, but created a cult.

You certainly did not understand what he meant or did. You are right, he did do that but he was right to call them revolutionary. Just because something has been done in the worse possible way before, doesn’t mean you do it in the best possible way again and not call it revolutionary.
You gotta be into tech to understand it.

He was right to call the evolution! Touchscreen phone existed before iphone. Even when they introduced MMS (years after every phone on the market had it) and other rubbish which you can not make better. Just enable it in the software or implement in hardware. Like dual camera at the back. Trust me, when they start to use micro SD card it will be Revolution as well. Like people never heard of this before. And the whole audience with stand up and applause. Anyway. Enough of this mate. You have a good weekend sir

Blindly quoting specs doesn't mean anything, sure that's an extremely fast (most likely Samsung made) nvme drive, but what are you getting from it? A few seconds faster load times? Your Word document saves instantly, like it already does? It's not like you can suddenly browse the web faster and you won't be processing high quality video with only 128GB of storage...

Wow, typical fanboy trying to pull the "you have to be into tech to understand it" nonsense. Give it a rest pal, Apple constantly re-sell old tech at massively bumped up margins, it's called good business. To look at it any other way is just daft.

Much like the people on this website that make out that you need to have the latest and greatest hardware in order to browser the internet and make phone calls

Nah, for real, you just lack the brain power and cannot comprehend it. It’s not for everyone, some people just don’t get it.

Your issue is that you have a boring life and all you do is browse the net and make phone calls, and that’s why you think people only do that with their hardware.

Let me blow your mind, I don’t use my phone to browse or make phone calls .
better off getting the integral one, 512gb for not much more.
Integral 512GB is only £57.99 on Amazon. I’d go for that one.
