Based on the number of 128GB microSD cards I have lost JUST THIS YEAR, this is a bad purchase.

You'd need to emigrate to Spain, learn the language, fall in love, get married, have kids, convert to Catholicism, bathe in sangria, choose between Real Madrid or Barcelona, have an affair, train to be a bull fighter, become obsessed with ham and most importantly mimic Manuel from Fawlty Towers at all times.

I must be getting old, I can't be the only one amazed that you can actually get a 400gb microSD card.

I haven't lost any in years. Maybe your device is the problem if you got them from reputable suppliers.

If anyone is seriously debating this, what are you going to use it for?

Just remember that r/w cycles on microsd cards are comparatively limited (vs traditional drives).

More project ti these days
I honestly can't get off creed origins atm

Problem is the more capacity you have on such a small card the more you loose when you inevitably loose it!

But SanDisk are good with rma, though of course it's a right pain to loose all your data.

Also do you really want to send your faulty card off if it develops a fault and has data that could be retrievable? I guess you could encrypt it but I doubt many people do that. I think that’s what these manufacturers rely on when offering these long warranties.

I must be getting old, I can't be the only one amazed that you can actually get a 400gb microSD card.

Just what I needed, heat added! Thanks Op

My next phone needs this type of storage.

Fingers v shaped to the cloud.

If anyone has any important data, never mind 400GB of the stuff, stored in single location, more fool them.

Backup your data, people. Seriously, it'll save you a world of misery when your primary storage device is lost/damaged/stolen/eaten by the dog etc.

Damn it, just purchased two of the 200GB ones ffs, TYPICAL!

I know this may not be related to deals... But how do they even physically get that amount of data on a such a small card. Even with flash memory, how can it physically fit on a card that size!

I remember buying (I think it was 32MB) for my Diamond Rio PMP300 (anybody remember them?) in 1998ish. I think the memory card cost nearly as much as the bloody MP3 player.

Mine just arrived so many thanks to the OP. For those wondering about a meaningful use case for this kind capacity / write speed, I plan to use mine to host a fair portion of my 24 bit audio collection in my Ibasso DX200. Until now I've been regularly changing between a number of 128gb cards which means either frequent card scanning or a loss of functionality (searching for songs on various criteria). Of course, I have the primary music collection backed up in a couple of places so if I lose this or if it breaks then whilst it is a pain, I lose no data.

Why do people buy these large cards? It's the price of a budget phone. It would make more sense to have a couple of smaller cards, for safe keeps sake, no?

Does this work on the S8?

HA!! I can remember buying a 20Meg HDD for the accidentally discounted price of £140 (should have been £499).

I don't get this world.. 24bit high quality audio, 4k tv, always pushing for more like we need it better, what's the point in it all? We're already at the stage that for watching and listening to stuff its pretty much perfect. Its the artistic content that counts, not how many GB of data the file takes up and how many pixels or bits they are compiled from. Great songs or movies transcend the media they are on, they do not need any further technical improvements on sound or vision to make any difference to their appeal.. and likewise a turd is still a turd (eg Justice League) in 8k resolution Dolby atmos etc etc

If there is a fault, what would I need to do to return it or obtain a replacement? Due to the product coming from Amazon Spain....

True, but there's no harm in presenting the work in the best possible format, within reason.

Whatever you put on that, make sure you back it up elsewhere!!!!

Capacity getting bigger, write sizes not scaling fast enough.
