Seems like a reasonable amount of storage for backing up phone contacts etc.

I never cease to be amazed by how much memory they can fit onto tiny little devices these days, especially when I look back and fondly remember my ZX Spectrum
Amazing how much memory in so little space yet they still keep selling tablets with 16GB of memory.

Yikes at that price one could get another phone with at least 128gb instead. These are definitely way too expensive for what they worth at present. Great tech yes but 169!

Only 42.5p per GB. Bargain!

Is this overkill for the Nintendo switch?
My first thought was I need one for my switch. Then I checked that my 200gb is no where near half used. Looking forward to this dropping in the future

I've been looking for a 64 or 128 for the switch as I've just started downloading more games now, still a little on the fence on investing the money though as I don't know how many game's im going to own yet

Best Stick to the internal memory if your unsure at the moment. I've got 3 games 12-14gb and 8 games averaging 4-8gb with a 110 gb left of 200gb. So that should give you a example how far your money with at least a 64gb

Would definitely need 64gb, depends what those games you have installed are though?
So small and so expensive. Must be one of the smallest expensive things on eveyrday sale.

I'd imagine an offline video collection as the useful part of most people's music collection is <64GB
Wow 400gb.

Mobile phones - Photos and videos, videos take up huge amounts of space now 1080p and 4k are commonplace and you can easily fill up a 128Gb card fairly quickly (especially if you have kids and are constantly taking videos of them!)

Necessity for a Nintendo Switch, My laptop also has a 128gb ssd so I use a micro sd to store older games.

That’s only 2 or 3 4K full res VR immersive porn movies you know! In a wife (can’t find ‘em) friendly package too

That is a very deceptive chart imo

Most importantly, what’s the read/write speed?

those are some pretty great games, if only I could afford them xD
Another arrow in the heart for those of us who used to struggle to save things to 1.44MB floppies.

On Amazon.com, reviewers are saying ~70MB/s write and ~90MB/s read which is very good for a microsd card. As storage is ever continuously increasing in size though, it is very worrying to think of losing all that data! You would need to buy 2 of these and keep making backups
400GB! I didn't even know that size of MicroSD existed. Impressive
Probably 1TB by Year's end.

Phew, at least someone finally got the "that's a lot of information to lose" comment in; I was starting to lose faith in this site!

Don’t get a 64gb for a switch it’s too small and u will have to upgrade in future, that will end up costing u more, 128gb should b minimum

Yet customers carry on buying them. I wish Apple customer in particular would realise they are being ripped off. Look what happened when Samsung tried to take away the memory card expansion slot in S6 they swiftly brought it back in the next model!

You don't know you're born. I remember the 1K ZX81!! That's right. 1024 letters. Total storage. Bonkers.
Can buy from CEX for £135 - 2nd hand yes but comes with 24month warranty. CEX 400GB MicroSDXC
Does anyone know if this would work in my XZ Premium (Xperia)? Also would most modern Windows tablets support this? Thanks
