Im pretty sure its a chinese snide and its definitely not going to give you 512gb (Although it may show it on the phone)

possibly, but i'm not sure i could ever fill 512gb on a phone anyways, world maps didn't even make a dent in my 128 gb card on my old phone. for me I can't see paying 4x more to be good value, HOWEVER others useage may be better filled with the sandisk.

Then why not buy a decent smaller one?

Be very careful and back up your data.

I'm not saying it's not possible to get a 512GB microSD for £16 but there's a chance it could be a reformatted lower capacity card. If it is, any extra data will "fall off" the end of the card. In such cases the first xGBs work fine -- then once it fills up the data corruption and missing files begin.

There's ways of verifying the capacity should you wish to. I'd do so to make sure it's not a fake. But either way, if it was cheap - keep cloud backup switched on. Actually, even expensive cards can fail. Always keep it on .

I have this MicroSD card. Just be aware that real world write speeds to it will be approx between 10-20MB/s. I've never seen anything go over that, when copying files to it. That's using an SD Card Adapter, in an XPS 15 9570 laptop. However, for storage purposes, it's been fine.

512GB for £16 is fake. IMO bin that card and buy a new one from a reputable manufacturer if you care about your data not being corrupted.

a usb sd card adapter or sd to micro sd? I think that's a bus issue with your laptop not poor card.
I have some of these cards spare, don't need them or know anyone who does.

For fun you could test the card by filling to capacity. (Or use an app).

If the card is bad you can get your money back and potentially keep the card.

Of the capacity is good then you can post here and smile smugly at all the critics
