"Take better pictures"? Is it a magical SD card?

I don't know, why don't you ask base.com?
This is a very good price for these. :-)

Considering the fact that the price of standard SD Card's has of late drastically gone UP!.

On account of them not being used as much again by most?.

Because the 'favourite' has since shifted to that of the Micro SD Card's instead ...

Cheap and cheerful, is what we all like to see. :-D
If you are using to record 4K video or using dslr 18m pixels + you really need a speed of 95 mb to stop buffering
Bought the extreme 128gb for £23 not long ago. Doesn't look like a deal to me

You don't need 95MB/s for 4k.

It's a deal based on it being the cheapest available. If you purchased the 128gb in sd format then you got yourself a great deal, otherwise if it's micro sd then these cards are slowly dropping in price. Not a dig at you, but it seems people in their infinite wisdom like to point out that they got a better deal a couple of weeks ago, like the people who get something on a price glitch or pricing error and state that the deal is cold because they managed to bag an item far less than what is being sold in stores. If they can find it cheaper then by all means post the deal with the cheaper link because obviously I would be all over that.

lol @ the quality claims

pretty slow card, if your camera is lowish spec then by all means go for it
if you want to do any burst shooting then may as well get a card with better write speed for a bit more
if you just want HD recording and shoot one at a time then its fine

If the best price "today" is double the price "last week". Its not hot. Regardless if its the cheapest available right now.

If I post 24 cans of coke for £8 now, it will go cold, regardless if there isn't any cheaper right now, because people know that sooner or later there will be 24 for £6 or less.

Same goes with sd cards. Eventually there is a deal (this one isn't)

Current better price on a 64gb sdcard:
64gb U3 16.99 mymemory.co.uk/int…tml

Much better than the linked and I would not even call that hot.

Of course prices may change, thats how the market plays, you could buy something last week and the prices increase, but then it could decrease. Its all a matter of doing your research and finding something that is worth the money your paying. This is not for you, i get that. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I fully respect yours.

Hot deals is when to post when items are unusually cheap. This one is not unusually cheap and it's also a terribly slow card that won't allow 4k recording in most cameras .

subject to opinion my friend
The speeds of these Ultra cards are rubbish. You might as well spend a a bit more and go for the Extreme Pro.

noone said it would allow 4k recording - even the spec only mentions 1080p (still might though... 19MB/s is well over 100megabit/s but safer to get safer obviously)
its only really the higher end of cameras that do proper 4k anyway so not that big a deal
just be aware
