The cold votes are for spamming the site with multiple similar items from the same retailer.
Create one thread. That's the way to get heat.

Doesn't say much when a site "expert" can't grasp this.

A single thread with a bunch of links would have been a better signal to noise ratio
Heat added, can't understand why this is cold.

I did that before, but someone would start doing individual deals anyways. …I did that before, but someone would start doing individual deals anyways. So, what's the point unless I can fit all the deal in the title. Anyways, these are all good price. Users will benefit from it anyways. So, yes everyone love to have heat but it doesn't justify deals.

You still shouldn't post five deals from the same retailer one after the other. People will react negatively as it impacts the flow of the site.
It may seem unfair, but that's simply human nature. Instead of having a couple of scorchers, which would benefit the site due to uplift in affiliate income, you've killed them stone dead.
As I said, you're the "expert". Please use some common sense.

This should be hot.
Wow this is hot. I thought I had a bargain when I bought it from Amazon for £20 a month ago. Is it the retailer that is being voted cold?
Great price @Brutes voted hot, not sure what happened here

Yes, Cold or Heat doesn't justify deal. Who voted cold buy it themselves, Thanks Guys.

100% agree with this

Some of the best deals ive posted got really cold but I've purchased the product and believe me, there were great and good value. Does not matter if hot or cold but shame some people only look at highlights and hot deals and miss some of the best because lots who have no interest in the product vote cold.

I have no idea what and how affiliate things work and I am not concerned either. But just doing what benefits the users and I think it's working. However, I learned that posting at the same time would not generate heat, which at least being smile on my face.
Def hot from me. I have two. Best everyday tool for work. Also can be used to backup phone.

As I've said a number of times before, it seems to be a relatively recent phenomenon where "experienced" users of the site have started to post in this fashion.
I really don't understand why this has become a "thing", particularly as it almost guarantees cold votes.

Noted thanks.
Good price for memory but I bought one for my partner and the mechanism for switching from USB-C to USB lasted a few weeks now I have to hold it down to plug it in.
I appreciate all your posts Brutes whatever the format. I think some people make too many assumptions. I for one would have liked to have posted more but am constrained to a one plus one phone of 8 years old. By the time l manage to navigate the site to post a deal the item would have sold out! And don't get me started about multiple deals in one post, l wouldn't know how to and besides the poor phone would explode in my hands.
Seems very difficult to find any official info on write speeds, which is a sign they are bad. From user reports seems to be around 20MB write.

Regarding the cold votes, the 'heat' rating is completely pointless as people generally just vote on whether it's a good deal for them, not whether it is objectively a good deal (i.e. cheaper than the 'normal' best price). It's best to just look through all deals, and on the ones that interest you, check the comments. There you can actually find useful info on the deal, for example there have been deals with a lot of heat where there are lots of comments about the product or retailer being bad. And likewise deals that are freezing where the comments indicate it is actually a good deal.

I agree with you, but the problem is lots of people do not have time to look at all the deals and they only check the highlights or the hot deals. It is sad, as people who do not have kids vote cold on baby monitors, people who do not know about Dolby Atmos vote cold because they found a cheaper soundbar which did not have Atmos and so on. I wish people vote if they know about the product, or if they have an interest in it. I had a deal that got 700 hot, price £130, posted later the same product from the same seller for £85 and got cold...ridiculous.

Absolutely, I had some utter banger arguing with me that the hot/cold is about opinion, rather than whether the item is a deal or not. I asked them to go and read the site rules and come back to me. They still haven't.
Expiring so that that someone can re-post and help the community. Thank you all.
