Nearly bought this but realised it wasn't the extreme one.

Isn't it still quite a fast card (minimum 9mb/s sequential write is faster than many Class 6 SDHC cards)?

lol beat me to it, I reserved 3 lol i love pcworld price match.

these work a treat with Vista readyboost. perfect for your laptop if you have a built in card reader as it only sticks out a few millimetres

Will these faster cards still work in older camera's that can't utilise the speed?

Yes just give em a printout. They will match the price and knock off 10% of the difference.

'SORRY

Due to high demand the following item(s) are currently unavailable.

SanDisk 2GB SD Card Ultra II'

thats on pc world site :?

They will almost certainly have stock in store, they are the cards that they use in all their "free 2gb SD card with this camera" promotions, so they always have loads in.

Bought one of these a few weeks back for a Sat Nav unit and MP3 player. Downloads quite quickly. Unit only takes 2GB max so this was ideal for downloading to the Hard Disk.

As other posters have stated the PC World price match promise is worth doing and I have just reserved another one at the local store. Its great fun watching them cringe as a product marked up as £29.99 is sold to you for £3.59.:-D
And if you have problems ask to speak to the manager and dont back down with just a price match. Get them to do the full 110% of the difference or threaten to contact their head office and/or trading standards. Their price match is quite clear

Managed to get 3 on a "Price Match" from the PC World store in Garston Liverpool.
They were not too happy and delayed and moaned all the time.
They also tried the "at the managers discretion" argument.

Great buy at £3.59 each.

You should NEVER, EVER buy from a store which price matches, as they are not willing to offer genuine bargains, but leave you to find the cheaper deals. Then the genuine retailer who has a good deal loses out. Support the cheaper genuine suppliers and the greedy ones like PC World will be forced to lower prices for all.

Hi Doublekite,
Must disagree with you there.
If everyone who bought from PC World checked the going rate and made PC World "Price Match" at 110% the difference then they would either go out of business or start charging the same as the cheapest around.
I would rather put pressure on PCW to sell to joe public at a reasonable rate and that way the majority benefits.
On this deal I didn't pay Play £5.99 and I paid PCW £3.59 for which they were trying to charge £29.99.

Got the price match in PC World today - it went much more easily than I expected! There were several big signs hanging from the ceiling advertising the price match policy, so they could hardly claim not to know about it! Just took in the play.com printout, and the girl on the checkout correctly worked out the £3.59 price without even having to be reminded about the extra 10%.

Got one for £3.59 at PC World although it took them 3 goes to get the right price - the started at 6.49 & it gradually came down. I had the only one on the shelf.

The lady on the till was fine it was when she asked a manager how to process it that things got trickier!! In the end it took two mangers & comments such as "we have to sell at this price" - that I wasn't supposed to hear - but we got there in the end.

great deal
