Are these better or worse, or the same, as Kingston branded cards?

if you can, pay the extra couple of £ from the same supplier and buy the ultra III, they are superior, more robust, and include recovery software on CD.

you guys are good..... i wouldn't have even thought about the ultra iii

It's £14.99 for the Extreme III's

I think Kingston call their fast cards "pro"? You have to be careful you are comparing like for like with SD cards. I have yet to find a site that has a comprehensive list of cards and their speed.

Thanks to whoever gave me some rep! ;-)

The Extreme III is approx twice as fast (20Mb/sec) as the Ultra II and well worth the £4 extra if you want to take lots of pic / have faster response with TomTom etc, IMHO

I can see how a much faster card would make a difference for a camera, but I'm not so sure for a Sat Nav? My Tom Tom has a standard SD card in it, and I have never noticed it being slow....
