Good price, heated !

I said this on the Axon 7 thread as well - Sandisk are the only manufacturer I've had to make a warranty claim with (their silver/red 64GB SDXC cards were notorious for failing). Can't speak for these, but it did make me lose a little faith in the brand, hopefully this one won't have issues.

Great find OP thanks! Just ordered for my Nintendo Switch!

Done the same :P

The recording speed is rather over hyped IMO.
I don't have one, so cannot provide a speed test.
It is not U3 so I expect write will max at 16 MB/S and Read at 92 MB/S depending on the environment.

Nevertheless, good price if the performance suffices.
I tend to buy only U3 microSD now.

Another new Switch owner here. This is perfect, thanks op!

Bought two for the Kids Fire tablets, nice find!

Usually £42 on Amazon.

Another question (apologies.....)

Will this work ok in a 512gw nextbase dashcam? I seem to have read somewhere that these don't like loop recording.....?

Good for Switch?

Decide for yourself here...

Is this worth biting or wait for the Sandisk ultra A1 class version to come back down.. prices used to be like £20 last year this time!

whats the best price for a 256gb one for 4k recording?

Just bought this for my switch ^_^

2% Quidco as well.. thank you OP, just ordered as somehow lost my 128gb pen drive on holiday

Good for Switch?

"The Nintendo Switch supports cards up to two terabytes and Nintendo recommends a UHS-I (Ultra High Speed) Micro SD solution for the system. Also abbreviated UHS-1, the cards hit minimum write speeds of 10MB/s. While UHS-3 cards are faster, which write at a minimum of 30MB/s, the speed difference between the two types of cards is negligible when it comes to booting games. From our tests, we noticed a memory bottleneck. This means that, for the Switch, you shouldn’t feel the need to pay the extra premium for more expensive UHS-3 cards, as it will not improve boot times."

Heat added, just caved and bought

I probably won't need a card for another 6 months to a year. Is it worth buying now or waiting in the hope that it comes down in price?

Also is Picstop stuff reliaible (e.g. they don't sell fakes do they?)

It's too complicated. Does this mean it is good?

If you don't need it now I'd hold off. This card has been this price before, and actually slightly cheaper too.

Picstop certainly seem reliable judging by previous threads.

As for the rest, yes this card is good for the price (esp for the Nintendo Switch) and there's no point in buying a faster, more expensive card unless your device supports the faster speed (which the Switch doesn't).

U3 don’t work with Switch though.

Publix1 h, 35 m ago

Nonsense... See.

I think what he means to say is that U3 isn't supported by Switch. It will work but you won't get any advantage over using a U1 card. So if you can get a U1 card cheaper, you may as well. Eurogamer tested them

So do you mean this card would not work in the switch?

It'll work fine.

Sorry for the confusion. This card is ideal for the Switch - It's the card that I myself own and use in my Switch.

Thank you. is this a slow card or is the read speed good?

From what I've seen the speeds will be perfectly fine for day to day use, especially in a Switch.

Sorry if my post was too technical.
For the switch this is an ideal card.
The switch wont gain any advantage from the U3 or busII cards.
Comparing to the PRO cards you would gain up to a second in game loading times (on the longer zelda loadings). There are benchmarks out there.
If you are to use a fullHD camera, normal point and shoot or even a slr this card is also enough. If you use a pro dslr with fast exposures. Go for a U3.
I'm getting this for my Switch as well.

I had one of these from Amazon for £25.99 at that time, but it stopped working a few months back and was out of warranty period (1 year, I believe?) So I couldn't really do anything.

Not sure I understand, this card has a ten year warranty. My card (silver/red 64GB SDXC) was definitely over a year old and I got a replacement?

Does anybody know if this would be any good for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, or if the Samsung Evo Plus 128GB would be best?

I also today had a refund from amazon for a Samsung 32gb Evo card I bought 2.5 years ago (10 year warranty), Samsung said try and return it to place of purchase or pay to send it to netherlands (wich someone said may cost £8.55, what a joke!)
Amazon took it back.

Anybody received theirs yet? Seems to be taking it's time!

I've RMAed a Sandisk Silver/Red SDXC card over a year ago, but Sandisk picked it up by courier and sent it back by courier (from the Czech Republic). Didn't cost me a penny. Those cards were notorious for failing pretty quickly.
