Yup. That's why I said with Prime. Just giving options. I have it in my basket as looking to buy in the near future.

Didn't feel the need to post as a stand alone deal. No intention to detract from yours just providing extra options.

Thanks. Got the 32GB for £10.99 - in preperation for my Rasperbery Pi purchase!
Any good for phones/kindles or is it too slow?
Tesco deal comes with an sd adaptor at the same price.

Perfect
£7.49 direct from Amazon with Prime (Inc adapter) SanDisk Ultra 16GB microSDHC Memory Card + SD Adapter with A1 App Performance up to 98MB/s, Class 10, U1 amazon.co.uk/dp/…43G
I hate that this is now a reasonable deal. 3+ years ago you could easily pick up a 32gb for £7.99 without a problem. That's progress huh.

Yes with the adaptor but wouldn't a standard SD card be cheaper or get a bigger size for near enough same price

Not really relevant at all, generally technology prices fall over time, not massively increase.

And unlikely to change much for at least a year, even with the increasing supply of 3D nand, there's still far too much demand for flash at the moment for the price to come down.

I totally agree with you their. I did the same. Its madness to think we are going backwards

Very good. The A1 rating means it's suitable for running apps off. Apps usually require good random read/write speeds while most other SD symbols are concerned with write speeds for shooting high-definition video on.

and do cards without the A1 spec have poor random read/writes?
i dont think thats the case at all - just they haven't been tested

has the exact iops testing methodology been released anyway? surely it depends on the parameters of the test
Good deal I bought a 32gb from them

You are correct. A1 is also a relatively new thing so some cards that otherwise would pass are not marked as such. The most recent version of Samsung Select Evo Plus for instance seems to have similar performance and does not carry the A1 rating. There's definitely a lot of cards that are not suitable despite otherwise high ratings though.

As always, best to look up benchmarks and reviews if performance matters, but having ratings for apps on the card makes it a bit easier in time (if the product descriptions bother with explaining it!)

have you seen which methodology they use to generate the iops figure?
