Stay away, San Disk are notorious for either not working or files corrupting for various dash-cams stick to Transcend, Kingston endurance cards as more reliable, see info provided;

Thanks, ordered one anyway as a stop gap till I find a good deal on a 32gb endurance card. You would have thought SanDisk would want to keep up there reputation and only sell more reliable cards, I have had what I thought are good makes over the years including samsung etc, but all failed within months. The only card I have that is working and has never give up is a unbranded 2gb class 4 micro sd that I have had for at least 5 years

SouthWales

you can try the carcamcentrals budget choice the Transcend 400x I've been using them of late and far more reliable than the SanDisk ones I've had that appear to work but when you check the cards later there's nothing which is not what you want when driving around with idiots & liars on the roads you may end up with an ok one but I had four San Disk ones and all had the same problem

Thanks very much for the very informative post, I've just gone for a Transcend 32gb 400x. I had to review some important footage the other day and took my Sandisk out the car cam for it to be completely corrupt. Like you say its just not worth it for spending a bit more on a card that works, in case you have an accident or see something. Good price for the Sandisk in the post btw so I've heated.

I've similar one in my 1080p dashcam and works perfectly
Isn't this more or less the standard price on Amazon? Also, for £3 more you can get a 32GB Samsung (who are generally considered more reliable than SanDisk) in the same read+write class as this one.

Samsung 32GB Evo Plus @ £10.33

What? No, You return to Amazon and they deal with the warranty claim. This is one of the biggest reasons people prefer shopping with Amazon. Returns and warranty claims are a lot easier than elsewhere

only for 1st year, after that manufacturer

only for 1st year, after that manufacturer

Amazon have never asked me to contact the manufacturer directly after 1 year of owning anything...

So are you saying that if you bought something at Tescos, they'll honor the warranty in its entirety and never ask you to contact the manufacturer yourself?

no what I am saying is buy cards where.warranty return is uk, otherwise it costs more to send to the manufacturer than what it's worth.
