I was going to order this yesterday for £110 but when I looked today it was only £89.99 the price of these drives seems to change daily, but this is the cheapest way of buying one in a shop.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought one on Sunday for £110 but just got a refund of the difference :).
does this come with cloning software. If not what's the best freeware to clone from mechanical HDD to SSD via USB ?

It's just a bare drive with an adapter due to it being slim (7mm).

I use Clonezilla.

Depending on the size of the mechanical drive it can be tricky to clone if the mechanical drive is bigger in capacity than the SSD.

Brilliant. Perfect upgrade for my recent laptop buy. Luckily, I was right by PC World when I saw this post.

Another vote for Clonezilla from me. A clean install is a better option but not always possible - just be mindful of things like alignment and your operating system's defrag schedule if you clone your mechanical drive.
will defo get one
its 50p cheaper (delivered) at amazon here

I know its not in a shop, but the price I quote is delivered, so actually less effort :-)

it is (or was) £86 delivered from Memory Bits
If you live in Manchester, MicroDirect sell this hard drive for £85 if you pick it up.
I have used Macrium Reflect to clone drives with good results. It will auto align for SSDs as well. It will also clone your drive direct in windows making it very easy to use.

Never used clonezilla so can't comment on its effectiveness.

Cheers,
Phil
