have they dropped logik name?

Hot for me. I bought at £60 a month or so back... Nice tidy and as loud as you like. Ideal for my kitchen. BT feature was what I was looking for without extra leads etc. £40 is a steal...

Looks like there is no Usb connection on this. Shame.

Can't complain at £40 for a bluetooth DAB hi-fi system. Hot!

is that not a USB connector on the front? (bottom left)

that'd be nice, but don't think so

THERE'S NO CD PLAYER ON THIS!

How does it have MP3 support if it doesn't have a USB socket or a CD drive ?
I'd like to see it stream DAB over the internet too.

Typical misleading information from PC World

Very tempted to buy this. I take it the wireless refers to the bluetooth and not the speakers. Are the speaker cables quite long? Had a samsung system and the cables were too small to set up on my big Ikea TV unit.

You stream from your device - that is what the bluetooth is for - it would work the same way as a bluetooth headset.

2014 is the deadline for throwing all your CD's out. Don't cha know?

that video looks like a different model, think its wrong to be honest

I think I need this but with computers in just about every room in the house, do it need it?

If it has internet radio and you can stream off wifi as well as bluetooth, it may be a winner at that price.

Anyone got one to review it a bit better?

Which means it does not have MP3 support! It is able to receive whatever from bluetooth, but natively it has no audio support whatsoever.

In other words it does not have "MP3 playback support" but "bluetooth playback support".

Of course not, but our friend doing all the moaning about what it HASN'T got for £40 possibly needs to know that CD's are becoming rather old hat.

Cheeky git I'm not that old lol.

I guess if you live in a one room house, the CD thing is an issue but as my house has more than one room, this will be good to listen to dab in the kitchen and... I have something that plays CDs in another room...

I have one of these, got it last week. It does have a USB port on the front, but it isn't for charging devices. Just stick a USB drive in it and play your MP3s.

Yes, I'd like to know that as well please before I drive to collect mine from PC World

Annoying that there's to way to find out if that black rectangle on the lower left of the system is a USB slot or not

No mention of USB on Currys, PC World or the Sandstrom website and the Sandstrom website's manual download feature is 'Coming soon'

I think (but don't quote me on this) that the 'wireless' streaming refers to Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi over a home network

Anyone know if the 40W speakers refer to both of them together or is it 40W per speaker?

I only ask as I was eye-ing up this one from amazon until I saw this post:
amazon.co.uk/Aug…ifi

Amazon ones cheaper but only major difference (apart from looks) is it has 15W speakers - but guessing its 15W per speaker.

Nope. It has DAB, FM, an AUX port at the back and plays USB stick MP3s.

It's 40W in total. 2 x 20W speakers.
