I was thinking of getting a smart speaker. So if I talk to the speaker in my bathroom and it's being powered by bluetooth from Alexa in the kitchen, would it hear my commands?
Avoid any smart speaker, Alexa or etc, if you care about your privacy. They're absolute spy machines!

Too late - and there are privacy settings. Love my Alexa!

So are all phones. We can't escape it, we're swimming in cameras and microphones, everywhere. You can't unplug yourself. Welcome to George Orwells worst nightmare.

You sure? I read a review for an Anker speaker after I posted my query and it says that's exactly what it does.

Might have been a different bluetooth speaker, tho.
Just ordered for the office. Can’t have Alexa etc. Because of the security risk. Thanks op!
Also worth pointing out that the other identical model in a different colour is £59.99. This colour is horrific but for a cheap office radio it’s perfect.
Perfect for darude sandstrom
looks like its gone....
