Seems like reasonable bluetooth connectivity speakers for less than 30 Quid.

Customer reviews seem good also.

Just reserved a set myself - seem to be available in most stores.

out of stock in the north east

Thx op. Nice find.

Got a call to say PC World Staples corner only had a display item and not boxed . Guy wasn't willing to budge on price for ex display so I left it. If anyone is still on the hunt for one and don't mind ex display for same price. Was in good condition but he peeved me off.

As a sales colleague, I cannot stand customers that want a discount on ex-display goods. Either buy it at the advertised price or wait for it to come down during clearance. Giving a discount on a £30 item is pointless, much better to give to profitable customers.

Was he darude?

oos Bedfordshire, North Hertfordshire and Staffordshire.

hmph, this is weird. They look identical, also specwise, to Microlab's M-200 Platinum, which I own. The only difference is Microlab's doesn't have BT/NFC.

If these are simply a rebranded product, believe when I say that the sound you get from these is AWESOME for a sub £35 set.

Sandstrom is a Currys own brand. Can't remember who they are truly produced by. But one of their more high end products.

It's obvious why people would expect a discount on ex-display goods, especially as in this case it was unboxed. Why should people pay full price for what is effectively second-hand goods? I realise that your group of companies regularly pass off second-hand returned goods as being new but it's not unreasonable for consumers to expect a discount on ex-display goods.

A sales colleague? Is that what you refer to yourself as? *hahaha*

There is no colleague about it and your inability to comprehend that second hand goods shouldn't be sold at retail indicates you are a poor one at that.

Good thing you don't work commission; you are clearly not very good at your job and likely that both you and the salesman in the post above may have cost PC World customers permanently.

Which is why Richer Sounds , John Lewis etc are constantly given great reviews and Currys/PC world are given the opposite

Good deal, i would grab it myself but none in stock near me, closest is 22 miles away.

But heat anyway.

Are you one of the wonks who work for Argos and think that selling previously opened/used items as 'new' items is acceptable?

Nice links to random dated articles. What does selling an ex display item at full price have to do with lying about something being second hand? I feel like you're bringing in issues that have nothing to do with what the OP or the guy after him was talking about.

Actually they do work commission in a way. They get pay rate bonus' for the day if they hit certain targets. There is no benefit knocking off your profit margin on an item that is already part of a good sale, someone else will be willing to pay the sale price for it.

It's like the group of people you get circling a Waitrose discount bin at the set times in the day stuff gets reduced. You see the horrible side of human nature where people want everything for nothing and will get aggressive over a 19p loaf of bread, when they have easily enough income to pay the worth of the item.

Brilliant replies. However I'm sure that any HUKD customer would be a complete waste of sales staff time, as should be expected! Though I love browsing the site and sucking up all the good clearance deals you guys list (even got real time alerts set up).

Also, the Staples store clearly said its an ex display model. They were not selling it as new, so I fail to see the point in you linking those articles to substantiate your response which seems to be all over the place.

Finally, I'm not averse to giving discount, in fact I have one of the highest % discount in my region, let alone store! But it goes towards customers who actually try and engage in conversation. Now yes, a lot of staff are rather off the ball and that's due to the firms lack of training. All I do is talk about features that a customer may not know about (HDR, Ecobubble, why "u" processors aren't all they are cracked up to be etc) and then usually they respond well, allowing for a relaxed sale rather than DO YOU WANT CAREPLAN, ONE MONTH FREE, TWO MONTHS FREE....

If they still want to treat the colleague like dirt as I suspect some of the people here would, screw it. I'll hit my other targets (that don't require addons/extra money) but instead take a lot longer.

Anywho keep on replying, I quite enjoy reading the hate for DSG.
