They can be fine you need to ensure your wrist is heart level. Sit down elbow bent with wrist at heart level. If you hold your arm up it will give 20-30mmHg low and if you leave your arm swinging down it'll give 20-30mmHg high.

I always recommend omron to my patients. The M2 basic is usually about 20-25 pounds easy to put on with one hand and always give accurate results in my experience.
If you're buying a pressure meter, don't go for these cheap ones. Buy a good one from boots. I have bought so many cheap ones in the past and was disappointed. 🚫
Cold, these are a waste of time. Had one, binned one. Buy a proper cuff BP Monitor or go to your GP.
