Such a good idea!

I am mean so will just put my muddy work boots on and stomp around the Christmas tree.

Eyes are getting worse, I thought the picture was of a Kit Kat

Any one got any tips for using this that avoids a really messy, carpet that simulates footprints but can easily be cleaned up? Is there some sort of spray can people use with this?

i always use a carpet powder such as shake and vac to put footprints in

Heat for this idea!

Ooh my local, might pop in later when I go to argos shortly, thanks

this is the inverse of a footprint?

makes zero sense.

Nice idea! Shame they only have the right foot though

Gonna cost about £4 to put these across the carpet.

You're over thinking a children's novelty

I had a pair of these when my kids were young. We did a trail of footprints with Shake and Vac that they could follow. It was brilliant and they would get really excited when they saw the footprints.

Erm try turning it over for a left foot.....

Is there a particular reason to use this over just putting a boot on and walking around the place?

My feet wouldn't be big enough. Santa has huge feet lol.

might buy one of these for the dog's blanket to smear poo into... see how she likes it

Use talc and a shoe, Cold for this landfill.

Agree, I'm hopping mad

White powders like flour and talc etc are not realistic though? In the unlikely event there has been snow, snow melts and does not look like powder on the carpet. My 6 yr old is not daft and would be confused and see through it. Has to be something dark, that is cleanable and easilly hoovered and won't leave a mess.

Just waiting for a deal post on the reindeer foot now for the garden, if there is such an item?

Use with reindeer poo for an authentic effect

it's not a child's novelty though, is it?

it's an adult novelty, and for that reason I've asked them to remove it from the website.

(the free option is to sprinkle some flour round an actual boot)

If only I had something around the house already that could make a print like this... like, a shoe or boot.

Exactly! Unless he's walked in paint, what on earth is he going to leave on the floor? Magic?

I'm surprised at all the bah humbug negativity going on here, other than being mean and stomping on the tree which amused me greatly, my children are young and full of the joys of Santa coming. My wife makes shortbread with our children for Santa's snack, we leave a carrot for Rudolph and he also gets a great big mug of whiskey to keep him warm inside on the cold winters night. In return, Santa writes a little letter thanking them which is sprinkled in his magical Santa dust (glitter) and a trail is left to the front door etc. In the morning they rush down to see if he has been and they usually find a wee bit of cookie and crumbs, the carrot has gnaw marks left by Rudolph and the mug is empty. They haven't made the connection why daddy has a thumping head though, but boy is it great to see them so excited by it all. Something I never had as a child growing up by a single parent on a very low wage, so lighten up people, its a 50p item that has the potential to add sparkle to the illusion that Santa has visited using his Santa key that's left under the front door matt

Personally, I like the shake n vac idea but we will just use the special glittering Santa dust which also vaccumes up nicely

Hear hear

I'm struggling to work out if you seriously dont understand this or if your just having a laugh??

You dont press the stencil into the snow outside to leave an inverse footprint, you just sprinkle talc or whatever through the stencil inside to leave a footprint mark when you remove it...

Why would you sprinkle flour AROUND a boot???

I must be losing it...

Totally agree, there will be some really exciting and 'logical' non-denominational Winter festivals happening this year
