i'm sure the last time they were listed on here people claimed they weren't that great compared to the sanyo ones.

Bought these an year ago but my digital camera didnot like these even after full charge with 7dayshop's own charger. At the end used these for sky remote which was always showing low battery sign.

They're not the same I have both. The Eneloops last longer and my 7day ones had hardly any charge and seem to last not long before my camera says low charge but they can keep taking phtos for a while after. The end bits look different too it's not just the label.

- I can't comment on the relative merits of the different batteries (haven't used the Sanyos), but I have used 7dayshop quite a few times & never had a problem with them. I usually find they're the cheapest place to get batteries from. They're cheap because they're in Guernsey so don't charge VAT.

I can vouch for the 7ds own branded batteries linked above. I don't have the Sanyos, but if brands your thing... Note that the 7ds are slightly higher rated mAh than the Sanyos. My DSLR runs well off them and the last and last.

I can vouch for the 7 day shop ones. Fine.
I think some people must have charger problems, if theirs aren't working, as mine work fine, charged with my Lidl charger as featured on deals on here a couple of times.
eg. I still have the same set in my camera from LONG before Xmas... and they are fine after loads of shots.

Just put a set in a new Blood Pressure monitor today, works no problem, despite the manual mentioning NOT to use rechargeable batteries... as ever, Low Self discharge ones just work

aren't the sanyo ones the hybrio kind that stay charged when not in use?, makes em a whole diff battery to the others
always find the hybrios etc are delivered with a full charge

indeed they are, these batteries are "Low self-discharge NiMH batteries"

en.wikipedia.org/wik…ery

I have no reason to discredit the 7day shop batteries but these eneloop batteries are a different of battery, you are paying extra for a different technology not just a brand name.

According the wikipedia these batteries have the following advantages

Voltage is more stable (less load- and capacity-dependent). This can have a beneficial effect on runtime in electronic devices, which typically have a cut-off voltage per battery that is not much lower than NiMH's nominal voltage. (However, this can also cause some devices with battery status indicators to overestimate the remaining capacity of a nearly drained cell.)
Reduced heat buildup when the battery is quickly charged or discharged
Higher efficiency
Higher instantaneous current discharge capability
Higher battery life

£6.65 from amazon themselves. & 7dayshop on amazon have them for £6.59, but you'd likely get them quicker directly from amazon.

amazon.co.uk/San…8-8

You can also get 6 packs of GP Recyko+ for just under £8 (free delivery) from a couple of amazon sellers (I've read GP recyko+ perform as well as the sanyo).

Read the details of the 7DS batteries - they are hybrid too, the same type, but actually a higher mAh rating.

there's nothing with 7ds. they've been around ages, and i've used them plenty over the years, including just before christmas. the site indeed, has not changed a bit, but its functional and works, so who cares if it's not very "glam"?

I have been back to buy more myself, already. OK, it's hard to be sure about long-term performance, but short-term they have been fine for me.

Like me, you will have a shed-load of standard NiMH ones that don't often get used now, I suppose? :whistling:
