The E1403 from SANYO takes pictures in loving detail at resolutions of up to 14 megapixels. The compact camera also features an HD video function to record films in 720p (1280 x 720 pixels 30 fps). Plus the 3x optical zoom brings even distant objects crystal-clear to the 3 inch LCD display. A host of macros with preset parameters for landscapes sports or fireworks ensure that whatever the theme it appears in its true light. Smile and blink recognition are included for perfect portraits. Thats because the E1403 recognises smiling faces itself and takes the snap automatically without you having to press the release. If someone blinks when the shutter closes the photographer is alerted by the blink recognition and can take another shot. The digital image stabiliser cancels out blurs and the high light sensitivity of ISO 6400 means the E1403 can overcome unfavourable lighting conditions.

Which company? Sanyo or eBuyer?

sanyo, yh i know they have been out for sometime but they are low end, similar to bush etc but probably a bit better however i would rather spend £80 with sony, Panasonic etc

Can't agree with that. Sanyo are very much mid-range, similar to the like of Samsung or Hitachi. If this is a Sanyo-designed product, and not a bought-in item (which even Tosh/Sony/Panasonic are guilty of sometimes) I can't see it being of the level of a Bush.

Sanyo = one of Japan's most pre-eminent manufacturers.
Bush = long-forgotten British manufacturer now owned by Argos and involved in rebranding cheap imports.

As Sanyo have such cameras on their website it's probably more than a branding exercise unlike Hitachi for instance. However how many Sanyo reviews will you find on the typical digital camera websites. I don't think I've ever seen one and I think that's a clue to quality. Add the 14 megapixels into the mix and I don't think your getting something worth £80.

I agree with you but I was replying to the Sanyo=crap comment which is patent nonsense.
