To meet the increasing demand for high-definition equipment globally, from 2009, Sanyo's Xacti Dual Camera line-up is designed to record high-definition video. High definition comes in two primary types: 720p and 1080p. Sanyo's VPC-CG10 compact HD model is compatible with 720p (1280 x 720) and is able to record at 30 frames per second. It also takes HD-quality photos, putting high definition into the palm of anyone who uses a Xacti Dual Camera.

The handle looks like the butt of a pistol.. I wouldn't walk around with it stuffed down the front of my jeans if I were you!!

It seems to get mixed … It seems to get mixed reviews:http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/index.cfm?reviewid=114868 http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/camcorders/0,39029967,49302480,00.htm http://www.macworld.com/article/141799/2009/07/sanyo_xacti_cg10_review.html http://www.techdigest.tv/2009/06/sanyo_xacti_vpc.html http://www.computeractive.co.uk/computeractive/hardware/2242450/sanyo-xacti-vpc-cg10 Either way, i'd probably be tempted to get that Amazon one that everyone RAVES about. About the same price too.

Which one's that then?

Get insane reviews, and i've seen the vids - they're pretty damn good! Also 8gb onboard memory too... which is a bonus. And it comes with all cables that this one doesn't.

That said, for someone who prefers main name branded, this looks like a good deal :-)

The mixed reviews were at the original price point of over £200, I'd say this is probably a much better camera than £100 jobs from Flip, Kodak and Sony that have been on here recently. The lens alone will make big difference. Biggest issue with these is lack of optical stabilisation, but I presume this is the case with the others too.

I thought it was the Kodak Zi8 that had the most interest on here recently? Seems to review better than Flip also, for not much more.

Isn't it usually around this price? I was looking into getting one of these a couple of months ago; some of the videos are awesome, but it doesn't do well in low light situations / indoors, which I'd be bothered by
