Just watched the Gamers Nexus review. Seems to say that it slightly outperforms the 2060 KO but struggles to recommend it due to software / driver issues. That’s the only review I’ve watched so far.

Yea I'm still having driver issues with my 5700xt, less than before but still get the odd black screen.

This isn't the 5700xt

Yep just realised. Was gonna send my one back to amazon for a refund and get this!
Jayz2cents also determines it a risky buy at this time due to drivers (his version the fans didn’t turn on by themselves).
A better card than the 2060 KO which has a pretty cheap PCB and cooler.
Strange how they are classing this 5600xt as a 1080p king card. On paper, unless I've read wrong, it's as good as if not better than a Vega 56 and that's a 1440p card.

Well not really, as newer games come out, the PC requirements also increase and the cards that could handle 1440p with no issue will not meet the requirements any more. AMD are already selling the 5700XT as the ultimate 1440p card. So this is now the 1080p king but it should handle 1440p just fine.

vram + lower memory bandwidth are a bottleneck that will scale with resolution from what ive read.

Yeah me too! I never update to the new drivers, I wait to they release newer release before I update.

VEGA 56 has 8GB of memory. The 5600 XT only 6GB... for some reason. I was playing The Division 2 last summer and that was using ~7GB at 1440p. I wouldn't buy a graphics card with 6GB or less for 1440p. Would see terrible frame times once the onboard memory is maxxed out.

Thats what the 5700 is for. They market the 5600 XT as the ultimate '1080p' card. The price on this is aggressive for the category.

There is also the possiblity of good overclocking/bios mods on these.

Was hoping the RX 5600XT would come in a little cheaper than this, I managed to order a 1660 Ti from amazon for £20 which is back ordered for another month.

Wondering whether to keep that or go for this?
I think this is a really good deal. If I didnt just get a 5700 Id seriously think about this guy. The pulse is a nice card; I assume it uses the same cooler as the cooler on the 5700. The power of this is close to a 5700 but given the price this is a pretty good deal.

Btw in regards to the poster above and getting black screens; not sure if this will help but I shut off the radeon overlay (when in game); this might have fixed an issue I was having in regards to my system shutting down when going to 'sleep' instead of going in sleep mode. I also upgraded to the new driver 20.1.2 (but the driver didnt help my 'bug' because I still had it I 'think' what I did helped) - but still testing to see if its gone away.

oh and as far as why its a 1080p card. The 6gb ram will play 1080p games well but it will have difficulty comparing it to a 8gb 1440p card.

In 1080p and 1440p the 5600xt is lets say -8% as fast as the 5700; 260 vs 320 so 23% cheaper for only a -8% in fps ... even if you flashed the 5700 successfully to a xt (-4 comp units) your looking at ~20% less speed on average.

As you can tell Ive read way too many reviews on the 5700; but I know a good deal when I see one. You just need to work out what you want and what you want to spend - if its in the 260 range imo this guy is a no brainer. And ya maybe you dont want to risk flashing your card (although as the hexus review talks about they have a new bios in which you might need to flash the card yourself on the 5600xt to make it 'faster'.)
Am I understanding correctly (I've heard that people on the Internet enjoy correcting others, often with the odd derisive remark) but there are two variants of this card, OC variants and standard. Did the non OC variants get the bios update?

I'm not 100% sure at the moment. All I know is this card can accept the bios update and it's already advertised with the higher memory speed. All cards would be capable I would assume. It's just the 1st batch sounds like it needs manually flashing.
