I'm hoping the 2600 will be under £100 at some point. If not I'll go for the 3600 gonna be an expensive month

hmm thinking this is about the same value wise as the RX 570 that overclockers had for £99 (108 inc postage) the other week. Does anyone know if this is a better card in terms of build quality/cooling than that ASUS one?

Sapphire are the best AMD card manufactuer, this is seen as the 3rd best after the Red Devil and the Sapphire Nitro
How easy is it to cancel that prime subscription? I'm building a Ryzen 5 2600 16GB machine and just need a graphics card. PC is mainly for photo editing, the last game I played was Crysis 3, maybe just get the RX 570!

Ordered & saved £8 using the top up. Building a cheap gaming PC with my 14 year old son & he gave this the seal of approval.
You might have to wait a while, the Amazon slaves are out on strike Power to the people

I'm wondering if it's a good card, bit out of date with what's worth buying these days. But if your 14 year old approves I'm happy with that!
It drinks a lot of power and produces a lot of heat so I'm opting for a GTX 1060 6GB for my Silverstone ITX htpc type case. Also they are only 4GB versions so not so good.

That Amazon prime is a con also and this is the bait, you can't just cancel your subscription after joining, buying this and then cancelling it. I didn't like the smell of it
Original plan was an 8gb 570 but the 4gb 580 won the day - my wallet was happier too

what makes you say you cant cancel sub after buying?

I didn't like the sound of it besides it isn't that good a deal anyway for those RX 580s, I seen the 8GB nitro+ version somewhere for around £150, think it was ebay with the 15% discount. I got £31 off my Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB on ebay.

This is the first time I went nVidia in 21 years, always Radeon before, first card I think had 64MB VRAM

Arrived today but can't use it until the other components arrive

Also received the email for 3 months game pass. Time will tell if it's a good purchase or not

Don't the modern DX12 games in ultra settings not require >4GB? I seen another poster saying the 580 'needs' more than 4GB

It doesn't affect me even though I got the 6GB GTX 1060 mainly for photo editing. Most modern game I played was Crysis 3 about 8 years ago and played the original Unreal Tournament the other night and loved it, pure nostalgia.

The games look the same as years ago, same kind of thing despite all the hardware. Maybe VR gaming is the new creative tech, I have been out of the loop?

Not quite a boomer (I had to look that up ), about 10 years younger

I think your usage might be a tad more demanding than mine/ours! Upgrading from a 10 year old PC with a Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM & a 512MB 9500GT so I'm pretty sure the system we are building will be noticeably better

Yip it will be a rocket ship by comparison. Photo editing is nowhere near as demanding as gaming, only sporadic short bursts of high processing power are needed. I'm expecting my new build to sit idle with all fans powered down or minimal for most of the time. Bit of a problem with that 1060 I bought though, I might send it back.

I see you can get a Power Color 580 8 GB for £152 thru ebuyer, looks a good deal.
What was the reward on this? Was it free games or game pass?

Xbox game pass.

Does anybody know if these can be easily and safely resold? I don't really have much use for it and a few pounds extra would be nice.

Cheers, thought it was. The games have to be claimed through AMD and software verification but not so sure with these

Remaining Components arrived on Friday & we put everything together on Saturday. As you know from a previous comment we haven't really got anything to compare it against but so far the card is performing as we'd hoped/expected.

This is from the T&C's on the email I got from Amazon. Haven't tried it yet but it appears it would be difficult to sell on.
