A good price and it comes with the 3 x free games bundle.

The downside is the £9.95 delivery charge that brings the total price up to £276.92.

I couldn't have put it better myself! Especially the returns.

Is there a uk pc component e-tailer that people on here don't have something against?

Every post from aria, scan and overclockers have people complaining...

Maybe we should just all get paid in amazon vouchers lol.

Dabs usually goes down well too.

Wow. Fantastic price for a really good card!

I've never had any problems with Aria - they're local to me so usually just nip in (shame you can't get web special prices in store). Staff are always friendly and haven't had a problem returning faulty goods.

Aria have removed the gold reward bundle and the price without the super special offer is £284.39. So I expect a price crash on the R9 290 cards. When you are paying this much for a graphics card the least you expect is a game!

Why? The free games are dirt cheap anyway. If you are paying this much for a graphics card you can afford to buy your games separately ;p

They had 6 available at this price. Now out of stock

Really? Last time I checked Sniper Elite 3 was £31.99 on steam as a pre order and the other games may well not cost much more than £8 but it adds up. Aria did advertise it but then removed the free games. It's cost scrimping by the retailer. Yes I do expect free games when I spend over £270 on a graphics card, I've never bought a card without bundled games.

If you're after a graphics card I suggest you keep an eye on Amazon Warehouse. They often have great offers on new 'old' stock that may be from Marketplace sellers or the back of their shelves. By new 'old' stock I mean things like a R9 290 that had an included offer that ran out, so they knocked £100 off, etc.

My brother is just about to return two, intermittent black screens, many people are having this issue.

Due to driver + hardware (type of ram used "apparently").

I've heard of this issue hence why it's worthwhile buying from a retailer with a good returns policy in case it fails.

I've had issues with Sapphire cards in the past too, so I don't use them anymore.

I have only ever owned sapphire cards and only my x1950 went bad. My overclocked sapphire 6950 toxic has been running flawlessly for over 2 years. There does seem to be an issue with the tri-x series of cards though. According to some pc forums the problem has not been resolved with updated drivers.

Who ever ends up purchasing this 290 please can they post there test results here. The black screen problems seem far too common for it to be affecting a minority. Just wonder if it's bad amd drivers or defective hardware. The factory oc, power draw or the heat this card generates may be a factor. The tri-x fans cool the gpu but push hot air into case essentially overheating other components, monitor your case temps.

Please unexpire.

Aria has reposted the deal again. This time advertising the 3 free games on the store page - Link

Thank you for the update. I would cancel the expiry but the option isn't there for me to do that unless I'm missing something.

Anyone, that's just the problem.
I think that to vote cold you should have to enter a reason why.

It would stop good deals appearing cold because the pea brains don't like the sound of it or the title has the word Apple or Windows in it.

Just my opinion....

hot, looks to be 3 times as fast as my 570 gtx and that is struggling at 1440p with games now...will have to wait until pay day. Star citizen is going to get me back into PC gaming again!

Thats the main issue here.

OCUK or Amazon will give you a full refund including delivery costs which are free anyways but to return it they will collect it for free if anything goes wrong.

Aria will not and youll have saved £20 but need to pay that to return it if its borked.

The fact its £10 to get delivered means youll actually be paying around the same price but with much worse customer service and peace of mind, i dont care what people say about Amazon they are by far the best company in the world, anything goes wrong, they full refund or replace NO QUESTIONS ASKED, tell me another retailer/etailer that does that?

Just treated myself to this one; http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-166-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

Slightly faster and from Overclockers

You also get free delivery if you are forum member. Which I am.

Might be of some use to someone?

ebuyer are pretty good, good customer service with decent prices
overclockers have a shady past but forum members get free next day delivery
scan are hit and miss, some good deals with some dodgy customer service

aria are just pure scum

When a company actively dodges paying billions in TAX then they can offer a "No questions asked" policy. Simple really.

Aria also charge you a 35% restocking fee if you decide to return an item after opening! Is that even legal? If you don't want it you're stuck.
