Chet posted earlier the offer on 5570 on ebuyer with the 1GB DDR3 version. I found this so I thought I would post this as for an extra few quid you get it in DDR5 which will provide a slight boost.

I have a 7600gt, would the sapphire radeon HD 5570 offer much of an improvement?

The 5570 DDR5 according to tomshardware is 6 tiers higher than your current one.

There would definately be a big improvement, just look at the search for the reviews for benchmarks, its both low on power consumption yet powerful on performance ;-)

you can get a 5670 for another £5 which is a fair bit more powerful

The Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 is 512MB GDDR5 & PowerColor HD 5670 1GB DDR3 @ebuyer.
Which card is better, a 512MB GDDR5 or 1GB DDR3 ?

Good question, can't find an answer, probably not much in it actually, probably depends on the game.

That is a very intriguing question, here tomshardware.com/rev…tml

The 5670 DDR5 in this review comes out on top against the 5570 DDR3

So I presume the 5570 DDR5 would be at about the equivilent of the 5670 DDR3, if not more? I will have to check out some more benchmarks. Certainly a good question.
