I think this is the cheapest this card is at this time, £295.96 and you get a free copy of borderlands 3 or Ghost Recon.

I think these can be sold for around £30.

From the research I did the general consensus was spend an extra £45 and get the XT

It is a very good card, seeing as there hasn't really been any good black friday or cyber monday deals, I think it's good.

I like them, I have gone for the same card but the ASUS version since with cash back it’s £250 plus the free game. The blower fan is OK and doesn’t get above 50% fan and temps are 70-80 under 100% load 2-3 hrs.

It's reference design. You could get powercolor cheaper from Amazon £289.98

amazon.co.uk/dp/…c=1

Only difference then is warranty etc but you're dealing with Amazon I guess so shouldn't be an issue.

I was going to see if a Vega 64 came down in price.

Vega 64 needs a AIB I don’t think the 5700 does with heat
Rediculous amount of bugs , but eventually, pereserve, and it's worth it.

Ok you have to claim the cash back, but why not get it for £250, albeit the Asus version?

Was the cash back pretty painless?

Yeah, receipt, serial and bank details, have to do two tho so not sure about the other since it doesn’t start till the 9th.... worth £50
Ugh, blower is hideous in terms of thermals and noise. Spend the few extra quid to get something with a decent cooler.

Flash the XT Bios on it, with a little overclocking you'll get XT performance for way less.

Won't that make it run even hotter?

I flashed the 50th anniversary edition bios on, card runs upto 1950mhz, then auto under-volt if you want quiet, takes it to within margin of error to the XT performance with less noise. The limit on the 5700 isn't the silicone, it's AMD segmenting its lineup

What temperatures does it run at under load, and what's the noise like? (assuming you've got this specific card)
I saw the TDP for the 5700XT is 225 compared to 180 for the non XT version. Would the TDP go up?
I've never done any tweaking with GPUs before, so I don't know what to expect.
Are the games digital download, or proper copies that can be sold on?

It runs around 70-75 after an hours gameplay (it's possible it's thermal's are holding it back) I have not undervolted as of yet, just waiting on my waterblock and then it's a none issue for me. I've got the power colour reference design, paid £260 for it.

That's a great price for XT performance! (after the flash of course)
I've currently got a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB which is a bit past it's prime now. It generally gets to 80 under load and the fans are very noisy and take forever to switch off after gaming.

I've had the fans capped at 30% due to how loud they are, with the money saved on an XT, I can use that for both a GPU and CPU water block.

Flashed my sapphire pulse to XT. I get performance somewhere between vanilla and XT. Uses a lot of power to push it further. I’m running about 170W. Pushing harder and it goes well over 210W and temps go up. I’m playing at 1440p at 75hz and don’t need to push it any more at the moment.

That link promotion.asus.com/en/…ack only contains info rather than a form to submit unless I’m missing something? The T&Cs on that page say that this online form at this link needs to be used but can’t see what form?
