Mainly used for games and editing (I have a HP workstation for Avid but it’s not great) so thinking the Ryzen 5 2600 or Ryzen 7, MSI Tomahawk B350, 32gb of ram and undecided on a GFX card atm so this may be an option. Everyone recommends the GTX1070...

I highly recommend the Ryzen 2600 as its still the best bang for the buck at under £150. I overclocked mine to a stable 4.2GHz with no problem at all. As for the GPU it really depends on the budget. I have an RTX 2060 and that was easily overclocked too. I'm basically touching gtx 1080 performance in most games even beating it in some. But the price is £330. Alot of people reccomend Vega 56 but if I where you I would try and pick up an 8gb rx 580 as its cheaper than this and this is definitely not worth the extra cash for the couple of fps extra and the higher power draw. As for the ram I would just get the fastest out of the box speeds for my budget. I suppose resolution comes into it too. If you are at 1080p the rx 580 will be perfect. Anything more then I'd say Vega 56 or rtx 2060 would be my go to cards.

You could alternatively look into the RTX 2060 or the rumoured upcoming GTX 1660 TI. Both are comparable but I personally feel like the 2060 is a bit overpriced for what it is.

Meanwhile, I'm not sold on this 590. I'd probably stay far from it until the price drops to 1060 (6GB of course). It's literally just an overclocked 580... which is pretty much an overclocked 570... Sorry, but no support down this 590 avenue.

Edit: just browsed HUKD and came across the 1070 hotukdeals.com/dea…895. Unless you really want these games, I don't see any point in this gpu (590) at all.

Try the MSI afterburner. The UI kinda sucks. You'll find the best improvement will be ramping up the memory clocks but that just makes it unstable so you want to just play around with that.
