Only a preorder, though Amazon will honour the price should it increase between now and stock being replenished. I realise this is still far above RRP, but it’s significantly cheaper than I’ve been able to find elsewhere, even looking at the used market.

In the "real" world Vega 56 is worth about £380 tops, Vega 64 £450. Avoid.

If you could direct me to this "real" world where I can buy one that would be great.

Great spot OP, bought 1 for eBay.

Only an idiot (or a miner) would pay nearly 550 quid for a Vega 56. Poor card, two years too late that's way over priced.

Freesync

but extortionate price COLD.
Second hand 980ti seem to go for around £300 so I'd have to see prices drop before buying this.

but we need to see crypto craze end first
Great price for a Vega. Rarely available at all without heading to the £1k mark.

Recently they’ve tended to go for about £350, but for me it’s not a possible choice anyway, unless I want to change monitors. I look forward to the day that Freesync and G-Sync are compatible with either vendor’s cards.

I've never had a freesync monitor so not sure what I'm missing.

enhanced sync seems quite good? gets rid of tearing >60fps and I'm not sure if there's much benefit for <60fps anyhow?

nvidia has a similar thing on my gtx750ti - fastsync I think?

so many names...
This will be one of those preorders that no one ever gets. They did the same with Asus version. Magical preorder, then that got removed and now 2 shops both fulfilled by Amazon stock them at 1.5x the price...

Nice, but I've also had the 1070 from on here cancelled back in mid last year. :< Luck?
That's a insanely SILLY price. I paid less for my RX VEGA 64 !!!!!!

Recently? Be lucky to find another one in stock let alone cheaper than this.
Massive cold! This card has same performance as GTX1070, but consumes double the amount of power. Who is willing to pay £547 for this? You can get the GTX 1070 for £400.

You'll struggle to get a 1070 for £400 at the moment. Besides that, a Nvidia GPU won't be of much use to someone who wants to use VRR technology and doesn't have a G-Sync monitor.
