2GB version of the card, seems alright given the price of its older brother 4870X2.

Any reviews on this card?

Four DVI ports how does that make sense? They could at least have one or two HDMI so at least you avoid using the DVI-HDMI dongle.

None, ever... test cards were sent out with the message "You can publish figures, but then we would have to kill you!". :whistling:

Your clearly missing something then, I just went through the process again with shipping:

Total of your order:

£ 243.50 Inc. VAT

Tried it in 2 different browsers and still doesn't accept the code for me. You should edit the price to include shipping.

Pixmania .. Mmmmmm

Read up about them before ordering!

Yeah I did think about that, they dont state clearly where they are based? So a little weary tbh but Wiki seems to clear things up a little more?

Gotta love a good old fashioned bit of HUKD brand misinformation

Plenty of reviews on the net for those prepared to get off their butts and use google......

For the person who asked about HDMI ports this card comes with a DVI-HDMI adaptor so what's the deal?.

Pixsales095 code works just fine as well.

Well I have an nvidia that came with two DVI ports and with the DVI-HDMI dongle and it does not work properly.
That's why based on my own experience, I rather have 2 DVI ports and 2 HDMI ports than 4 DVIs. Specially that HDMI is pretty much standard these days.

Not really. This way it keeps the cost of manufacturing down and gives you a cheaper product. There are a number of reasons why your card doesn't work properly, not heard of others having too many problems.

you might want hdmi instead of dvi, but what if one day you found you wanted to connect a vga device up to one of those ports? or all of them?

dvi is used because you can connect it to dvi, hdmi and vga, and the ati hd3000 and hd4000 series cards all come with a dvi to hdmi adapter which has 5.1 or 7.1 sound respectively, the sound card is build into the graphics board and only the ati dvi to hdmi adapters will "let the sound out" so to speak because the dvi standard doesn't technically carry sound.

in other words each hdmi output reduces the numeber of possible vga outputs by 1.

as a personal examle i actually have 3 vga connections coming out of my pc, one to an old crt, one to a tft (from back when dvi made them really expensive) and one to the second inut to my main screen, plus an hdmi link to the main screen too. this would be possible with the card as it is, but not if they stuck 2 hdmi connections on instead.

Fair enough you made your point :-)
