Lol I see what you mean
The comments on Fragrantica are interesting, if you're interested in reformulations.

Eg, PipeDreams#1 says,
"the new updated version of Covet that SJP is selling on her beauty site under her company, The Lovely Collection. I was utterly bummed to find that this is not the amazing classic I once adored and claimed as my signature scent.
Previously bottled under the Coty brand, this new version has that same lemon-y opening as the original but it almost immediately started to fade into a vaguely powdery amber.
I'm not getting the awesome cocoa powder that the original had. It was also a much more muted version and did not last as long as the original. I'll test it again and luckily I still have a couple more bottles of the original formula."

TL;DR: This was originally produced by Coty and is the version that won (some) raves, but the reformulation by "The Lovely Company" is somewhat different. It's also suggested Covet was discontinued for a while in-between.

It's hard to tell which version The Perfume Shop are selling, but they do state "Launched in 2016" (Covet is much older than this), so it does suggest it's the newer version.

I find it really annoying if it's a scent you've become familiar with and all of a sudden, it's gone. Miss Dior/Miss Dior Cherie is one that's morphed into many different creations over the years - it's hard to keep up!

Reformulations are a well-known occurrence in the fragrance industry, and there's plenty of comments there that back this up. I wouldn't mention it if it was just one person's experience?
It’s now £7.99
OOS
What is the smell of this fragrance like?
