Great, also available in black.

I bought one each of both colours, but paying through paypal it ends up as £3.65 each, still a good price for me.

Does this require two USB ports to run (there's a y-USB cable included) or can you run it with just one (if you use a 5400RPM drive) like most other 2.5" portable HDDs?

Great find. Just ordered one. Thanks.

You can run it with one. I normally do.

It depends on your computer and how much power each USB supply's

rash

£3 from ebay.

£2.39

if only twas a 3.5" one

The last two things I bought from DealExtreme haven't turned up and I had to put in a dispute to get my money back.

ordered myself a 2.5" usb 3.0 sata enclosure a week ago, cost around £9 off ebay, might be worth considering guys.

these are so cheap and perfect. bought a black one off amazon not so long ago to house a drive that i took out my laptop. it came with a usb cable with 2 usb ends, I have no idea what for though.

Not bad, good timing too, gonna chuck a spare 500gb 2.5 in there and use it as pvr storage.

In case the drive can't draw enough power from one USB slot of the device you're using, you plug the second one in and it can draw additional volts.

My last order from DX turned up the other day, 40 days after ordering. I'm not alone with this (there is a big thread on DX's forums).

Feel free to order one of these but don't expect to get it before Christmas.

Is item number 300493806231 on ebay any good? Same price, up to 1TB capacity supported, looks funky!

These are decent little enclosures, I have 2. They're pretty basic but do the trick.

Most modern computers don't require the second cable to be plugged in.

Thanks!

Doesn't say what size HDD it can take. Some of the cheaper ones are limited sizes of 250GB or 500GB.

Anyone know what the max size of drive these can take?
